Description
Description (EN): This project proposes to unleash the creative potential of the region. It implies a dynamic partnership formed by two NGO, one local Public Authority and one Public cultural institution. We begin with transfer of knowhow and training of the project team in order to ensure good collaboration inside the project management and implementation team. To assure a good visibility of the project a set of communication activities are foreseen.
With the objectives of promote the opportunities to be involved in trainings, to ensure that the information is shared adequately among stakeholders and to assure the participation of disadvantaged groups in the process of public policy monitoring. A great amount of printed/personalized materials will be produced (7300) and a set of IT promotional tools will also be developed. Materials will be disseminated in the context of project activities and within the networks of the partners.
Implementation package has an objective to contribute to cultural and social cohesion of the CBC area, by promoting participatory inclusion and by reading capacities the WP implementation is the core of the project. It also contributes to the improvement of quality of life of target groups and to a better representation of disadvantaged groups in public policy process.
The WP will begin with a Capacity building will begin with selection of communities and preparation of training activities.
- training in cultural entrepreneurship will be organised for 40 young participants,
- training in socio educative animation for 24 young participants,
- training for 25 stakeholders from the communities,
- training for young Roma – facilitation of community development.
Also a mentoring activity for at least 10 young cultural entrepreneurs will be put in places and during the project implementation an international mobility for young artists will be organised by the partners. In every community involved in the Capacity Building activities, an inclusive artistic intervention will take place. Interventions will unleash the creative potentials of the community; they will be coordinated by young trained persons under the supervision of the partners and with the support of local stakeholders.
In the disadvantaged communities and with the support of local stakeholders a storytelling activity will take place addressed to a large group of children and youth (minimum 900). In Timisoara during am artistic biennale a contemporary art exhibition for young artist will be organised in Timisoara. In Zrenjanin inclusive arts activities and Games without frontiers for children will be organised. In Kikinda a Terra Youth workshop and exhibition in Terra gallery will be organised and one of the sculptures made at Terra will be donated to a community with Roma population involved in the project. In Resita a network of community facilitators will ensure greater involvement of local communities in the activities.
An activity for transfer of experience and knowhow will be organised, by dissemination of Manual for socio-educative animation for children in disadvantaged communities. Another important set of activities comprises of Monitoring of public policies documents on the local level. This activity comes as a continuation of previous project Poles of Cultures where IIT facilitated the public policy process in Timisoara and Zrenjanin. A cross-border conference on the subject of cooperation, cultural policies and inclusion will be organised at the end of the project followed by a Matching event and establishment of several work groups.
At the end a Collaboration document will be signed related to increasing cultural exchanges addressed to children and youth in the area of the project. All partners involved in the selection of participants and to delivery of training by sharing experiences, knowhow they possess and good practices. The partners, participants and the involved communities will remain the owners of the outputs.
Our approach will be innovative they rely on the rich experience of the partners and combines in a new way methodologies and approaches which proved to be successful in other European contexts. Some of the most significant innovative elements refer to the fact that the project combines the intervention based on arts and artistic expression, with participatory community development methods.
We believe that the practices developed by this project and its outcomes can be sustained and transferred in a future where more aid is delivered for the development of culture and inclusion of disadvantaged groups and this is the context created by Timisoara European Capitals of Culture and European Social Fund.
This project creates context and uses art to make a socially inclusive intervention in disadvantaged communities. Because by looking at art, we learn about ourselves. Comparing views on art, we learn about one another. Debating it, we shape culture. Where there is no argument there can be no consequentially meaningful art. And today what passes for an artistic debate is no more about the intellectual, emotional, and spiritual stakes of aesthetic experience. It is more about what, as parties to history, we become. So the sustainability is towards the community as a whole, and the debate is about inclusion.
