En raison de la concurrence accrue entre les différents consommateurs d’eau (industrie, agriculture, population et loisirs), il existe une forte pression à la fois en qualité et en quantité sur les ressources en eau disponibles dans la région transfrontalière Nord-France/Belge. Afin de réduire le risque de pénurie d'eau (et les coûts associés), de plus en plus d'entreprises cherchent de nouvelles stratégies et approches innovantes pour une gestion plus durable de cette ressource. Tant en Belgique que dans le Nord de la France, il existe de nombreuses technologies, concepts ou produits innovants qui ne sont pas suffisamment valorisés ou commercialisés. Grâce au projet DeEau, des consortiums d'entreprises inter-régionaux seront invités à y répondre en collaboration avec des centres de connaissance, pour démontrer des technologies ou des procédures innovantes pour une gestion durable de l'eau. Chaque consortium devra être composé d'au moins une entreprise porteuse d'un problème, d'un fournisseur d'innovation (produit, technologie, concept ou système) répondant à la problématique et d'un acteur scientifique (recherche) permettant de valider l'innovation. Les entreprises attendues sont, de préférence, des PME, mais les grandes entreprises peuvent également participer si les débouchés économiques sont majoritairement à destination des PME. L’objectif est de lancer un appel à projet. Sur la base d'une procédure décisionnelle spécifique trois à six consortiums seront sélectionnés et subventionnés (en conformité avec les règles du programme France-Wallonie-Vlaanderen). Les consortiums transnationaux recevront une aide pour la mise en place de leur projet de démonstration à hauteur maximum de 50.000 EUR. Les partenaires développeront un programme de diffusion des résultats afin de faciliter une application effective sur la région du programme France-Wallonie-Vlaanderen et au-delà.

Due to increased competition between different water consumers (industry, agriculture, population and recreation), there is a strong pressure both in quality and quantity on the water resources available in the cross-border North-France/Belge region. In order to reduce the risk of water scarcity (and associated costs), more and more companies are looking for new innovative strategies and approaches for a more sustainable management of this resource. Both in Belgium and in the North of France, there are many innovative technologies, concepts or products that are not sufficiently valued or marketed. Thanks to the water project, consortia of interregional companies will be invited to respond in collaboration with knowledge centres, to demonstrate innovative technologies or procedures for sustainable water management. Each consortium must consist of at least one company with a problem, an innovation provider (product, technology, concept or system) responding to the problem and a scientific actor (research) to validate the innovation. The companies expected are preferably SMEs, but large companies can also participate if the economic opportunities are mainly aimed at SMEs. The aim is to launch a call for projects. On the basis of a specific decision-making procedure three to six consortia will be selected and subsidised (in accordance with the rules of the France-Wallonie-Vlaanderen programme). Transnational consortia will receive support for the implementation of their demonstration project up to a maximum of EUR 50, 000. The partners will develop a programme to disseminate the results in order to facilitate effective implementation in the France-Wallonie-Vlaanderen programme region and beyond.
