Investments in infrastructure. What is this filter? Why use it?
Investment in infrastructure is the ‘expenditure for the financing of infrastructure and construction works. Infrastructure and works covers costs related to investments in infrastructure that do not fall into the scope of any other budget line. This includes costs for site preparation, delivery, handling, installation, renovation, and purchase of land, when applicable’.
The above definition is from the Fact sheet on eligibility of infrastructure expenditure and costs of works, by Interact, in December 2018. Please refer to this publication to learn more about the principles and rules applying to these investments.
For keep.eu users, the possibility to look for projects that must include investment in infrastructure is an important criterion due to the specific nature of this type of expenditure. This is because the programmes covered by keep.eu tend to apply a large share of their investment in immaterial developments.
