Types of intervention (2021-2027). What are those? Why do they matter?

Regulation (EU) 2021/1060 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 24 June 2021 (the so-called ‘Common Provisions Regulation’, or ‘CPR’), defined, in article 22, that the methodology to provide information on support for environmental and climate objectives is based on types of intervention. Each type, or each intervention field, is assigned a specific weighting that reflects the extent to which it contributes to environmental and climate objectives (please refer to Annex 1 of the ‘CPR’, which contains all the types of intervention and their respective weightings).

Each Interreg programme priority and each specific objective is assigned one or more types of intervention.
