The objective of the G2-SOLAIRE project is to give the means, through the solar cadastre on the scale of Greater Geneva, to intensify the use of solar energy, generate economic activities around the solar sector, and ultimately contribute to achieving the energy transition objectives in a context of urban densification.The project will be structured around two components: 1. A technical component involving French and Swiss research laboratories to develop a state-of-the-art solar cadastre, covering both the wide scale of Greater Geneva (2.000 km²) and providing reliable and accurate building-wide information. 2. An institutional and political component aimed at disseminating the cadastre and facilitating its ownership after all the actors involved.The solar cadastre will offer an effective solar potential in the agglomeration taking into account not only the incident solar potential in the territory but also the opportunities for self-consumption of energy produced under framework conditions and economic models, the capacity of electricity networks to inject the generated current, issues such as heritage and others. In the end, the project will return the solar cadastre via a platform to the different target groups and will offer framework conditions to support energy operators in order to increase solar energy production in the agglomeration.

L’objectif du projet G2-SOLAIRE est de donner les moyens, à travers le cadastre solaire portant sur l’échelle du Grand Genève, d’intensifier l’usage de l’énergie solaire, générer des activités économiques autour de la filière solaire, et contribuer in fine à atteindre les objectifs de transition énergétique dans un contexte de densification urbaine.Le projet sera articulé autour de deux volets : 1. Un volet technique associant des laboratoires de recherche français et suisse permettant d’élaborer un cadastre solaire à la pointe de l’innovation, traitant à la fois de la large échelle du Grand Genève (2'000 km2) et offrant des informations fiables et précises à l’échelle du bâtiment. 2. Un volet institutionnel et politique visant à disséminer le cadastre et faciliter son appropriation après de tous les acteurs concernés.Le cadastre solaire offrira un potentiel solaire effectif sur l’agglomération tenant compte non seulement du potentiel solaire incident sur le territoire mais aussi des opportunités d’autoconsommation de l’énergie produite selon les conditions cadres et modèles économiques, des capacités des réseaux électriques à injecter le courant produit, des enjeux comme le patrimoine et d’autres. Au final le projet restituera le cadastre solaire via une plateforme aux différents groupes d’acteurs cibles et offrira des conditions cadres pour appuyer les opérateurs énergétiques dans en vue d'intensifier de la production d'énergie solaire sur l'agglomération.
