In a world more and more globalized where the competition is tough, and in the era of the fourth industry revolution (industry 4.0 or factories of the future), the companies must continuously innovate to improve their performances and stay competitive. The SMART project aims at improving the innovation, the productivity and the competitiveness of SMEs by developing smart monitoring and analysis methods. This will be done by the development of methods, algorithms and tools that allow SMEs to continuously collect data and process them to detect abnormal operating modes, diagnose probable causes, anticipate failures and take appropriate decisions accordingly. These tasks can be conducted in the framework of what is called PHM (Prognostics & Health Management). This topic allows developing condition-based and predictive maintenances while reducing corrective and time-planned maintenances. In the middle and long terms, the implementation of these smart solutions will allow improving the reliability, the availability and the security of industrial systems while reducing the exploitation costs for the SMEs of the territory. The project will be realized by a consortium composed of academic and industrial partners from both sides of the French-Spanish frontier. The partners present complementary scientific and technological skills.

En un mundo cada vez más globalizado donde la competencia es dura, y en la era de la cuarta revolución industrial (industria 4.0 o fábricas del futuro), las empresas deben innovar continuamente para mejorar sus prestaciones y mantenerse competitivas. El proyecto SMART tiene como objetivo mejorar la innovación, la productividad y la competitividad de las PYME mediante el desarrollo de sistemas inteligentes de vigilancia y análisis. Esto se hará mediante el desarrollo de métodos, algoritmos y herramientas que permitan a las PYME recopilar los datos relevantes del funcionamiento de sus sistemas de producción, de procesar estos datos para detectar anomalías (o señales precursoras de fallo) y diagnosticar las causas probables, anticipar fallos y tomar decisiones en consecuencia. De esta forma estamos en el marco de “Prognostics & Health Management (PHM)”. Esto último permite desarrollar más intensamente el mantenimiento condicional y predictivo y tambien permite reducir el mantenimiento correctivo y sistemático. La puesta en marcha de estas soluciones permitirá mejorar la fiabilidad, la disponibilidad y la seguridad de los sistemas de producción reduciendo los costes de explotación para las PYMEs del territorio. El proyecto será realizado por un consorcio formado por socios académicos e industriales de ambos lados de la frontera franco-española. Estos socios presentan habilidades científicas y tecnológicas complementarias.
