In collaboration with the Municipality of Komarno, Monostor Fortress Military Culture Centre has set the objective to prepare a construction permit design documentation and obtain building permit to initiate he revitalization of Öregvár and Csillagerőd. The ultimate goal is the development of a cultural-tourist attraction and pleasure site located in two countries but comprising a single historical and geographic unit that will have a supranational, all-European significance making it eligible to become a UNESCO World Heritage site. Before the funding, both building were empty and out-of-use and without quick and professional intervention their condition would have strongly deteriorated making this funding of critical importance
