Description (EN): The MARTINS project contribute to preventing maritime risks by improving a maritime safety knowledge base, improving maritime safety professional training and improving public participation in risk prevention

Achievements (EN):

Creation of 10 training modules that didn’t exist before. Creation on 2 interactive multimedia tools: one for professionals, the other for the general public. The 1st one was made by Ecole de la Marine Marchande de Nantes and concerns the COLREG rules for navigation. The 2nd one was made by NAUSICAÄ and was dedicated to the general public and proposed basic information on navigation and maritime safety. Public events on maritime topics with presentation of MARTINS project and maritime activities. Seminars and conferences for the professionals. Brochure that presents the contents of the project. 2 videos on life jacket use and medical assistance. Contribution to the European maritime policy: during the youth seminar organised in NAUSICAÄ, the students discussed the green paper for the future European maritime policy and proposed a contribution to the European commission.
