Description (EN):

The project "Brighter neighborhood" is implemented by two partners, Lithuania and Poland cross - border region, Alytus and Elk town municipalities. The main problem to be solved with the help of the project - to improve border towns of energy efficiency. The main objective of the project - improving energy efficiency in Alytus and Elk, replacing old street lamps with new economic lamps. The general objective of the project - to promote sustainable development through the border cities jointly implemented activities for energy efficiency and the development of new energy networks. The project's target group - Alytus and Elk cities. The target group of this project will get the long-term benefits - reduced energy consumption, increased security in border cities, reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the environment, improved lighting quality in streets. Main activities: lighting modernization works, join events organization, promotion of the project.
