Description (EN):

Project covers the guidelines of the National strategy for eco- and cultural tourism and development of the rural regions trough development of cultural tourist routes and protection of the natural monuments. The action is in accordance with the municipality’s plans for development through restoration of the cultural and natural sites. The action fully corresponds to the Sustainable Development principles. It aims to improve the living environment and quality of life of current and future generations through restoration of the cultural and nattural heritance. Action directly contributes to new Strategic Guidelines for Regional Development Building, the Lisbon Agenda through increasing and improving of investment in demonstration activities, facilitation and innovation and promotion of the entrepreneurship, providing information about tourist’s capability of the region.

Achievements (EN):

1. Small–scale infrastructure rehabilitated and improved in Boboshevo municipality: reconstructed water drainage of the main street of village Slatino with new drainage components; installed alcove at the laundry place with mineral water of the village; settled an open-air kindergarten with an alcove, benches and rubbish bins; 2. Small–scale infrastructure rehabilitated and improved in Kratovo municipality: construction activities in the site Stone Dolls near Kratovo included: water drilling for a well, electrical light system, making of the ground tracks, creating an Information and Educational centre, porches, tables and benches, wooden bridges, making of the ground works, preparations and concrete base for putting of pre-made bridge, kiosk for the security officer, pavement of the main track; 3. Organized and carried out 2-days workshop of environment and rural tourism on 18-19 May 2012 in Kratovo with 25 participants from Macedonia and 25 from Bulgaria; with topic of the event "Possibilities for eco- and rural tourism in Kratovo and Macedonia"; 4. Two awareness raising on environmental protection in Boboshevo and Kratovo through: designed, printed and circulated brochure about possibilities for rural and eco-tourism in Boboshevo and Kratovo; implemented workshop of environmental protection and rural tourism; published total 26 publications.
