Achievements (EN): 1. Best EU practices and governance tools on municipal solid waste management supported to be transfered to partners' local authorities from Kutaisi, Ungheni and Ararat - 1 study; 1 cross-border workshop organized in Ungheni (Moldova) ; 1 Guidelines developed/published on waste management and innovative technologies translated in English, Romanian, Georgian and Armenian (900 pcs and 1,000 DVDs); 1 study-tour organized in Romania for the representatives of Kutaisi, Ungheni and Ararat to exchange experience in municipal waste management (Train of the trainers module); 1 study-tour for Armenian participants organized to Kutaisi (Georgia) on organic waste composting; 4 training modules organized for target groups (municipal service and local Self governance offices) in waste management and innovative technologies; 3 Waste Management Plans for Kutaisi, Ungheni and Ararat with recommendations prepared and published (300); sorted collection of plastic in Kutaisi implemented with 100 containesr of 1,1 m3 placed on 20 streets in Kutaisi;a video clip promotioning plastic waste collection in Kutaisi locally broadcatsed - 8 tones of plastic collected/recycled; 1 pilot School in Ararat organized a composting site of 2m x1m x1m wooden boards and demonstrations took place; 1 seminar on “Organic Waste Composting" organized in Ararat Municipality; investment component comprising 100 waste-containers and Baling press to reciclying plastic installed in Kutaisi, Georgia.
2. Public awareness in the field of solid waste management and recycling improved because of implementation of the project:
- 1 Waste Management Public Center established in Georgia (it provides consultancy and training onissues of waste management and planning, provide publications to continously raise public awareness);
- 3 seminars/training organized for Environmental NGOs in Kutaisi, Ungheni and Ararat about waste management modern practice.
- database of the Black Sea Basin Environmental NGOs in Georgia, Moldova and Armenia created (111 listed NGOs);
- 3 training-seminars organized for mass media representatives to Kutaisi, Ungheni and Ararat about ecological education and waste management;
- 1 environmental education curricula/programme for schools developed and implemented in pilot schools in Kutaisi, Ungheni and Ararat plus training-seminars for teachers (15 schools, 29 lessons conducetd, 1,174 people involved);
- 1 Manual on Waste Management and Coloring books for schools printed/translated in Romanian, Georgian and Armenian (3,000 pcs.);
- An Information campaign on general environmental issues, waste management, recycling and composting conducted in Georgia, Armenia, R. Moldova, Romania (radio-TV, media, press etc),
- Black Sea Day celebrated in partner countries;
3. Visibility of the project's results and EU funding inssured by
(a) printed and promotional materials (23,200 pcs):
- a booklets about project in English and partners' native languages created/ translated/ disseminated in partner countries;
- 8 quarterly newsletters about project progress created/disseminated through mailing lists;
- 3,000 bilingual posters about project prepared/disseminated among target groups and stakeholders in Georgia, Romania and Armenia;
- 4 articles about project results published;
- 1 webpage in 4 languaged designed/made operational (www.wmp.ge);
- 500 brochures on project Achievements and Results printed/disseminated;
- 1,000 CDs regarding waste management (English, Romanian, Georgian and Armenian) disseminated;

• 150 T-shirts,100 Cups, 150 pens and 200 badges with Programme and project logos created/distributted to participants.
(b) events organised:
- project presentations organized in Kutaisi, Ungheni and Ararat - press-releases;
- 3 telecasts and 2 radio programmes broadcasted;
- 2 public surveys conducted In Kutaisi city where plastic waste separation was introduced, 24% of questioned people engaged in plastic waste separation; that points to the fact that a certain part of the city’s population is actively engaged in this process;
- 3 final conferences organized in Georgia, Moldova and Armenia.
Summing up:
About 15% of population in the Black Sea region countries have become aware of the improvement of quality of the environment and life;
Trans-boundary partnership in modern waste management and environmental protection is formed and open for further development;
About 900 representatives of target groups have increased their capacity in waste management best practices;
The conditions for waste sorting, collection and composting created: collected 3000m3 of plastic waste and taken for further recycling, produced 10 tons of compost;
