Description (EN):

Construction of the road border crossing in Dolhobyczow will fill in a significant gap in the border infrastructure at the hitherto undeveloped section (139 km) of the Polish-Ukrainian border and ensure denser and more regular distribution of border crossing points between Poland and Ukraine, which is the objective pursued by both neighbouring states. The new border crossing point will provide new opportunities for the Polish-Ukrainian cooperation between the border regions and it will stimulate regional and local development. It will facilitate the contacts between local communities, what can lead to greater social integration. Scope of works to be performed include construction of detailed vehicle check facility, inspection terminals at the check lanes, building for detection dogs, sanitary buildings for passengers, roofing over the check lanes as well as roads, yards and fencing. The crossing will be also equipped with necessary facilities.

Achievements (EN):

Cubature of the constructed facilities (8 462 m3: bus passengers border check facility 3A; detailed vehicle check facility 4A; four inspection terminals at the check lanes 2A2; building for detection dogs (e.g. drugs, explosives) 8A; two sanitary buildings for passengers 9A and 9B). Linear structures (paved areas and green yards).The space of built paved areas and green yards: 35 453 m2. Linear objects (networks).The length of constructed networks and service lines (2 662,7 running meters). Primery equipment.Number of pieces the primary equipment (288 pieces).

Expected Results (EN): Increase protection of the border against the trespassing of undesirable visitors (illegal border crossing) and fight against cross-border crime (smuggling of excise goods and drugs, arms trafficking).
