Project - Polańczyk and Schidnycja – let’s make use together of our tourist and cultural potential for the improvement of competitiveness of the Bieszczady region

Description (EN):

The need of realization of the project came of analyzing the main problems, which troubles societies of Solina’s Commune and Town of Schidnycja. Weakly developed touristic infrastructure, lack of place with possibility of organizing cultural and entertainment events – these reasons make the offer of spending spare time unattractive for tourist, patients and citizens. It’s also an essential barrier, blocking pursuit for full use of owned potential to increase the cultural and touristic offer and social-economic development. Therefore the project is aimed at socio-economical development and increase of competitiveness of the borderland region – Commune of Solina (Poland) and Town of Schidnica (Ukraine), through improvement of the state of tourist-oriented cultural infrastructure, and intensification of activities in the area of broadly viewed tourism. The project assumes an effective utilization of cultural and natural heritage for socio-economic development of the borderlands through development and full utilization of tourist-oriented cultural infrastructure and tightening of cooperation in this area between the local communities of borderland regions. Direct results of the project include Amphitheater build in Polańczyk, Multifunctional recreational complex constructed – amphitheater in Schidnica - 1 modern multifunctional object for approx. 532 persons, cultural event organized in Polańczyk and Schidnica.

Achievements (EN):

- The number of seats in amphitheatre (itm.) = 500 - The surface of the amphitheatre’s auditorium = 362.73 m2 - Number of purchased audio system equipment: Solina – 1 set - Number of purchased and installed stage lightning systems – 1 set - The number of seats in amphitheatre (itm.)= 532 - The surface of planned building (auditorium, arena and stage) – 624,10 m2 - Number of purchased audio system equipment – 1 set - Number of purchased and installed stage lightning systems – 1 set - Number of purchased and installed visual monitoring systems – 1 set - Number of purchased and installed fire alarms – 1 set - The number of cultural events - 1 itm. - Number of groups that present folklore: 4 from Poland and 4 from Ukraine; - Number of Village Housewives Circles that present regional dishes – 3; - Number of bands that present Boyko’s music – 2 from Poland, 1 form Slovakia - The number of cultural events - 1 . - Number of people that present regional and national dishes – 25 people - Number of people that take part in cultural exchange – 5 people from Poland, 25 people form Ukraine - Number of groups that present folklore: 2 from Poland, 1 from Slovakia, 9 from Ukraine. - Number of craftsmen artists that take part in the event – 20 people - Number of groups that present Boyko’s dances – 5 groups - Number of artists that take part in concert “Patient’s day” – 5 - Number of performance about Schidnycja’s history – 1 - Number of chess tournament – 1 - Number of chess tournament’s participants – 70 people - Number of football tournaments - 1 Number of football teams that take part in football tournament – 4 teams
