Description (EN):

The overall objective of the project is improvement of the health condition of inhabitants of the Hajnówka County and Grodno District through improvement of prophylaxis, diagnosis and treatment of diseases transmitted by ticks in the Polish-Belarusian borderland. As such, the activities of the project include extension and improvement of offered medical services in the scope of diagnosis of diseases transmitted by ticks, Prevention of consequences of diseases transmitted by ticks through their early detecting and treatment thanks to additional equipping of the units with specialist medical equipment and exchange of doctors’ and diagnostic laboratory technicians’ experiences and Development of permanent transborder cooperation In the scope of health care The project, besides of additional equipping of the institutions with indispensable equipment and / or medical devices in order to improve the quality and accessibility of the offered services, will enable realization of common undertakings such as the project opening conference on the Polish side and project closing one on the Belarusian side, preparing of information campaign for the society on both sides of the border, training visits for employees of the SP ZOZ in Hajnówka and District Clinical Hospital of Infectious Diseases in Grodno and creation of the information platform on prophylaxis, diagnostics and treatment of diseases transmitted by ticks. All these activities will contribute on every stage of the project implementation to tightening of the institutional cooperation between the project partners as implementing institutions

Number of the realised projects increasing regional and local possibilities of transborder cooperation - 1 item. Number of conducted scientific conferences – 2 item. Number of renovated health protection institutions -1item. Number of renovated medical diagnostic laboratories - 1item Number of additionally equipped health protection institutions -2 item. Number of additionally equipped medical diagnostic laboratories – 2item. Number of acquired medical equipment and/or devices for medical diagnostic laboratories – 92 items. Number of purchased equipment for the patient rooms in the District Clinical Hospital of Infectious Diseases in Grodno – 65 items. Number of created rooms of intensive supervision – 1item. Number of acquired medical equipment and/or devices for the Observation-Infectious ward, including the room of intensive supervision – 111 item. Number of acquired nonmedical equipment (equipment for information platform and computer units, laboratory equipment) – 164 items. Number of created information platforms – 1 item Number of organized training visits – 6 item. Number of conducted information campaigns – 2 item. Number of issued information-promotion brochures for the society – 18 080 copies. Number of worked out final reports (an edition of 300 copies) - 1 item
