Description (EN):

General objective of project is Improving healthcare security of Polish-Ukrainian borderside\'s citizens through the creation of a sustainable basis for institutional co-operation in prevention and treatment of deep burns. Another goal is improving the quality and efficiency of deep burns treatment in Polish-Ukrainian border area, through elaboration of a joint road map and exchange of experience between project partners, as well as Increasing abilities of medical centres responsible for treatment of deep burns in Polish-Ukrainian border area, e.g. through purchase of equipment and medical devices. Last objective is about intensify knowledge and raising awareness of Polish-Ukrainian border area citizens and institution in preventative health care and dealing with emergencies regarding deep burns and frostbite, e.g. educational and promotional activities.

Achievements (EN):

Efficiently managed and implemented trans-border co-operation project 1 implemented project, Inventory, infrastructure and medical staff assessment, and development of a road map 1 cataloguing completed; 1 road map prepared Purchased equipment for hospital in Łęczna 76 items of medical equipment/ medical machines/medical tools, 72 units of hospital furniture (beds, cabinets, seats),62 items of spare parts (matrasses,bedding, racks), Purchased equipment for hospital in Lutsk 24 items of medical equipment/spare parts one promotional actions - "trans-border picnic" delivered 3000 participants Purchased equipment for Ludwin community 17 items of medical equipment Purchased equipment for Ustilug community 71 items of medical equipment Seminars held in Poland 50 seminars participants (25 PL and 25 UA) seminars held in Ukraine 50 seminars participants (25 PL and 25 UA) internships for Ukrainian doctors12 doctors participating in internships fully functional project promotion system; 2 project websites - one in Polish and one in Ukrainian, promotional leaflet (750 items),4 press conferences (2 in Poland and 2 in Ukraine) , information board, posters (30 items), stickers (200 items)

Expected Results (EN):

Improving the quality and efficiency of deep burns treatment in Polish-Ukrainian border area, through elaboration of a joint road map and exchange of experience between project partners Creation of a system of fast response to burns and frostbite in two medical centres - in Ludwinów (PL) and Ustilug (UA) Raised awareness of 40 persons in Poland and 40 in Ukraine (participants of study visits) in preventative health care and dealing with emergencies regarding deep burns and frostbite, e.g. educational and promotional activities Raised awareness and improved knowledge of 500 persons included into joint activities in preventative health care and dealing with emergencies regarding deep burns and frostbite (PL and UA) in preventative health care and dealing with emergencies regarding deep burns and frostbite, e.g. educational and promotional activities Raised awareness of about 20 persons (10 PL and 10 UA), employees of local institutions participating in "trans-border picnic" in preventative health care and dealing with emergencies regarding deep burns and frostbite, e.g. educational and promotional activities
