Description (EN):

Development of a methodology for control of non-revenue water in water supplies, by implementation of the following: establishment of water balance in water systems using GIS-based maps, preparation of a group of appropriate performance indicators using existing and new ones, development of a decision support tool aiming to a prioritized list of measures for controlling water losses, adapted to regional conditions, and certification of the methodology in a demonstration phase.

IWA Standard International Water Balance with additional features and variables in the pilot areas Determination and calculation of minimum set of variables and Performance Indicators regularly measured and calculated in the pilot areas Determination of the Minimum Charge Difference used in the 2nd Mod. of the IWA SIWB Verification of the Performance Indicators Methodology for developing related deliverable Development of a reporting template regarding the implementation of CO5 tasks Suggestion on the DSS architecture Decision tree approach on the main problems of WSS - integration into the DSS DSS tool review Development of an updated draft of the capitalization plan Latest project activities and outputs Review of the DSS tool Development of a reporting template regarding the implementation of CO5 tasks Determination of quantified targets regarding the NRW, its components and the related Performance Indicators Identification of threshold values for specific NRW components and performance indicators Collection of all the necessary variables' values to be used in the DSS Preparation of a prioritized list of measures for NRW reduction through the DSS tool Implementation of specific measures (pressure management, installation of PRV, mains leak repair, mains replacement and detection of unreported leak) in specific partners areas for NRW reduction. Next key steps for the project Finalization of the DSS Tool in terms of calibration and validation through its implementation in the pilot cases Preparation of a list of prioritized NRW management measures Demonstration of additional measures in pilot areas and close monitoring of the results related to NRW reduction Evaluation of the efficiency of the proposed measures and the DSS implementation potential Preparation of reports regarding the implementation of CO5 tasks in selected partners areas Final capitalization plan
