Description (EN):

The overall objective of the project is to prevent social exclusion of women and their families, therefore partners seek to improve the access to the health care services in the field of reproductive health, prenatal care and cancer prevention. Project beneficiaries aim to influence unfavourable demographic trends in Augustów district and Alytus region and this objective shall be achieved through implementation of new health prevention programs, increased availability of specialised medical examinations and installation of equipment for diagnosis and treatment of women in the participating hospitals. The project shall have impact on the health care quality on both sides of the border through joint specialised trainings for gynecologists and coordinated promotional campaign, which will focus on the problem of declining birth rates, migration processes of women to other centres and problems of cancer. Project will positively influence cross-border cooperation, seeking to increase health factors of women in the border area.

Głównym celem projektu jest zapobieganie wykluczeniu społecznemu kobiet i ich rodzin poprzez poprawę dostępu do usług zdrowotnych w zakresie zdrowia reprodukcyjnego, opieki prenatalnej i profilaktyki nowotworowej. Intencją beneficjentów przedsięwzięcia jest wpływ na niekorzystne trendy demograficzne w powiecie augustowskim i regionie Alytus,co zostanie osiągnięte poprzez wdrożenie nowych programów profilaktyki zdrowotnej, zwiększenie dostępności specjalistycznych badań medycznych oraz instalację sprzętu do diagnostyki i leczenia kobiet w szpitalach uczestniczących w projekcie. Projekt będzie równiez pozytywnie oddziaływał na jakość opieki zdrowotnej po obu stronach granicy poprzez wspólne specjalistyczne szkolenia dla ginekologów oraz skoordynowaną kampanię promocyjną, która będzie koncentrować się na problemie spadku liczby urodzeń, procesach migracji kobiet do innych ośrodków oraz problematyce chorób nowotworowych. Projekt będzie miał pozytywny wpływ na współpracę transgraniczną poprzez dążenie do poprawy wskaźników zdrowotnych kobiet na terenach przygranicznych.

Bendras projekto tikslas yra užkirsti kelią moterų ir jų šeimų socialinei atskirčiai, todėl projekto partneriai siekia pagerinti galimybes naudotis sveikatos priežiūros paslaugomis reprodukcinės sveikatos, prenatalinės priežiūros ir vėžio prevencijos srityse. Projekto naudos gavėjai siekia paveikti nepalankias demografines tendencijas Augustavo ir Alytaus rajonuose, ir šis tikslas bus pasiektas įgyvendinant naujas sveikatos profilaktikos programas, didinant galimybes naudotis specializuotomis medicininėmis apžiūromis ir įrengiant įrangą moterų diagnostikai ir gydymui dalyvaujančiose ligoninėse. Projektas turės įtakos sveikatos priežiūros kokybei abiejose sienos pusėse per bendrus specializuotus ginekologų mokymus ir koordinuotą reklaminę kampaniją, kurioje daugiausia dėmesio bus skiriama mažėjančiam gimstamumui, moterų migracijos į kitus centrus ir vėžio problemoms spręsti. Projektas teigiamai paveiks bendradarbiavimą tarp šalių, siekiant padidinti moterų sveikatos prevencinius veiksnius pasienio zonoje.

Achievements (EN):

All activities were aimed at improving the health status of the population, including reproductive health in areas with specific risk adverse demographic changes. These included the improvement of the availability and quality of preventive examinations, which were aimed at women, purchase equipment, raising the level of knowledge of medical personnel in the area of gynaecological, prenatal care and oncological prevention of women, information activities improved standards of care, and thus improving health at the project area.
