Description (EN):

The project objective is to increase level of security through the cross-border cooperation in the fight against the common threats and emergency situations, as well as to improve the accessibility of the high quality public services in the area of Poland-Lithuania borderland through development of infrastructure (including purchase of equipped fire trucks ), necessary for the provision of public services. Soft activities include series of demonstrations and trainings; during these events skills and abilities how to deal with emergency situations will be upgraded. Partners also foresee the exchange of experience and good practices. The project will benefit from knowledge, skills and long lasting experience of Polish partners, which will significantly contribute to the development of the emerging rescue system, based on the firefighter’s volunteers, in Lithuania. The project’s added value – establishment of permanent cooperation between institutions, responsible for maintaining security of both countries, for better coordination of management of shared resources, infrastructure and equipment.

Description (PL):

Celem projektu jest podniesienie poziomu bezpieczeństwa poprzez współpracę transgraniczną na rzecz zwalczania wspólnych zagrożeń i sytuacji kryzysowych, a także poprawa dostępności do wysokiej jakości usług publicznych na obszarze pogranicza polsko-litewskiego poprzez rozwój infrastruktury (w tym zakup wyposażonych wozów strażackich), niezbędnej do świadczenia usług publicznych. Działania miękkie obejmują serie pokazów i szkoleń, podczas których zostaną podniesione umiejętności i zdolności radzenia sobie z sytuacjami kryzysowymi. Partnerzy przewidują również wymianę doświadczeń i dobrych praktyk. Projekt będzie korzystał z wiedzy, umiejętności i wieloletniego doświadczenia polskich partnerów, które w znaczący sposób przyczynią się do rozwoju powstającego systemu ratownictwa, opartego na strażakach ochotnikach, na Litwie. Wartość dodana projektu - nawiązanie stałej współpracy pomiędzy instytucjami, odpowiedzialnymi za utrzymanie bezpieczeństwa obu krajów, w celu lepszej koordynacji zarządzania wspólnymi zasobami, infrastrukturą i sprzętem.

Projekto tikslas - padidinti tarpvalstybinio bendradarbiavimo lygį kovojant su bendromis grėsmėmis ir ekstremaliomis situacijomis, taip pat gerinti aukštos kokybės viešųjų paslaugų prieinamumą Lenkijos ir Lietuvos pasienio zonoje plėtojant infrastruktūrą (įtraukiant gaisrinių automobilių pirkimą), reikalingą viešosioms paslaugoms teikti, taip pat įtraukiant demonstracijas ir mokymų serijas. Šių renginių metu bus tobulinami įgūdžiai ir gebėjimai, kaip elgtis ekstremaliose situacijose. Partneriai taip pat numatę keitimąsi gerąja patirtimi. Projektui bus naudingos Lenkijos partnerių žinios, įgūdžiai ir ilgalaikė patirtis, kurie reikšmingai prisidės prie besikuriančios gelbėjimo sistemos, paremtos ugniagesių savanorių įsitraukimu. Projekto pridėtinė vertė - nuolatinio bendradarbiavimo tarp institucijų, atsakingų už abiejų šalių saugumą palaikymas, geresnis bendrų išteklių, infrastruktūros ir įrangos valdymo koordinavimas.

Achievements (EN):

The project increased level of security in the fight against common threats and emergency situations, through series of demonstrations, trainings and exchange of god practices to upgrade skills and abilities of emergency services in PL-LT borderland. Firefighting equipment and 2 firetrucks were purchased, and 811 persons participated in joint trainings and events.
