Description (EN):

The strategic goal of the project is to increase the cross-border cooperation of fire and rescue services operating on both sides of the Lithuanian-Polish border in order to develop more integrated and better quality governance and services to deal with disasters’ response and damage control, ensuring the safety of border residents, property and the environment. Implementation of this project is important because of the existing need to organise joint exercises and trainings, purchase of the lacking equipment as well as development and deepen knowledge and abilities in the field of chemical and environmental rescure services. The main problem is lack of equipment, joint exercises and insufficient transfer of knowledge between the services, therefore the proposed solutions include organisation of theoretical and practical trainings, supply of the rescue services in the border region with special chemical and ecological rescue equipment and facilities.

Strategicznym celem projektu jest wzmocnienie współpracy transgranicznej służb ratowniczych i służb ochrony przeciwpożarowej, działających po obu stronach granicy polsko-litewskiej, w celu rozwijania lepiej zintegrowanych i zarządzanych usług w zakresie reagowania na klęski i kontroli zniszczeń, zapewniając tym samym bezpieczeństwo mieszkańców, mienia i środowiska. Wdrożenie projektu jest istotne ze względu na potrzebę wspólnych ćwiczeń i szkoleń, nabycie niezbędnego sprzętu, a także rozwijanie i pogłębianie wiedzy i umiejętności w obszarze ratownictwa chemicznego i ekologicznego. Głównym problemem, na który odpowiada projekt jest brak sprzętu, wspólnych ćwiczeń i niewystarczający przepływ wiedzy i informacji pomiędzy różnymi służbami. Partnerzy planują organizację specjalistycznych szkoleń w tym zakresie oraz zaopatrzenie służb ratowniczych w obszarze granicznym w niezbędny sprzęt ratownictwa chemicznego i ekologicznego.

Strateginis projekto tikslas yra padidinti priešgaisrinės gelbėjimo tarnybų, veikiančių abipus Lietuvos ir Lenkijos sienos, tarpvalstybinį bendradarbiavimą, siekiant plėtoti labiau integruotą ir kokybiškesnį valdymą ir paslaugas reaguojant į nelaimes, užtikrinant pasienio gyventojų, turto ir aplinkos saugumą. Šio projekto įgyvendinimas yra svarbus, nes egzistuoja poreikis organizuoti bendras pratybas ir mokymus, įsigyti trūkstamą įrangą, taip pat plėtoti ir gilinti žinias bei gebėjimus cheminių ir aplinkos apsaugos paslaugų srityje. Pagrindinė problema yra įrangos trūkumas, bendros pratybos ir nepakankamas žinių perdavimas tarp tarnybų, todėl siūlomi sprendimai apima teorinių ir praktinių mokymų organizavimą, pasienio regiono gelbėjimo tarnybų aprūpinimą specialia cheminio ir ekologinio gelbėjimo įranga ir įrenginiais.

Achievements (EN):

Project involved Alytus city and Pisz district municipalities. The main goal of the project was to share experiences and knowledge in process management to provide high quality public services for cross border communities. There were 240 participants in joint trainings and events and 6 joint cross border events were organized, as well as conference hall equipment was purchased for both beneficiaries.
