Description (EN):

One of the main territorial challenges in employment sector of the CBC Ro-Bg area is the low activity rate of women. The project aims at encouraging the integration of the CB area through supporting the access to the labour market of the unemployed and long-term unemployed women. This will be achieved via facilitating the access of unemployed women to labour market by improving their skills and knowledge and supporting better match between labour market supply and demand by provision of relevant information and support. Budget: 312 937.17 E. Activities: Provision of assistance and information on labour market opportunities and available incentives for employment of women; Training needs assessment to tailor-made trainings; Trainings and workshops organization; Project management, M&E; >Project communication, information and publicity. Results: Provided assistance and information on labour market opportunities and available incentive measures for employment of women; Joint information seminar held with at least 120 participants (2 events); Tailor-made training, based on surveys and TNA – 2 sessions in Ruse and 2 in Slatina, total 120 participants. It contributes to the Programme’s output indicators by increasing the N of initiatives to activate workforce mobility in the CB area and the N of participants in joint local employment initiatives and joint training. It also contributes to increasing the number of population that have access to joint employment initiatives.

Achievements (EN):

The project is finalized. Press-conference for project start was organised on 28 June 2017. A joint research on labour market opportunities and available incentive measures for employment of women in the cross-border area was conducted and the results were presented during a joint information seminar held in two sessions in Ruse and in Slatina in November 2017. A training needs assessment of the target groups was also realised and used for the development of tailor-made training programme. The training programme was implemented with 2 sessions in each country for more than 120 unemployed women. Micro information campaigns were organised to present the activities and services offered by the project to attract people from the target group. The project website was created and can be accessed at www.jobease.eu.

Expected Results (EN): R4.1 - Population that have access to joint employment initiatives

Expected Outputs (EN):

The project will: • facilitate the access of unemployed women, into the labour market, through improving their skills and knowledge. • Support better match between labour market supply and demand by provision of relevant labour market information for target groups, career counselling and guidance services for employment. At least 240 women from the regions of Ruse and Olt.
