ITINERAS aims at making more attractive the territory to tourists, in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains in Haute-Savoie and Valgrisenche in Valle d’Aosta, by enhancing the cultural heritage with the help of the local population to guarantee the sustainability of the investments and works made. The project ITINERAS intends to make important investments to safeguard the sacred architectural heritage of both towns. In addition, these investments will be coupled with a promotional operation of sustainable tourism based on the direct involvement of the local population.

ITINERAS ha come obiettivo di aumentare l’attrattività turistica dei territorio di Saint-Gervais-les-Bains in Alta-Savoia e di Valgrisenche in Valle d’Aosta attraverso la valorizzazione del patrimonio culturale, materiale ed immateriale, il tutto coinvolgendo la popolazione locale per garantire la sostenibilità degli investimenti e delle realizzazioni. l progetto ITINERAS consiste nel realizzare degli importanti investimenti di salvaguardia del patrimonio architettonico sacro dei due comuni. Il progetto è associato ad un’operazione di promozione del turismo sostenibile che si basa sulla partecipazione diretta della popolazione locale.

ITINERAS a pour objectif d’augmenter l’attractivité touristique des territoires de Saint-Gervais-les-Bains en Haute-Savoie et Valgrisenche en Vallée d’Aoste, à travers la valorisation du patrimoine culturel matériel et immatériel, tout en impliquant la population locale pour garantir la durabilité des investissements et des réalisations. Le projet ITINERAS consiste à réaliser d'importants investissements de sauvegarde du patrimoine d'architecture sacrée des deux communes. Il est associé à une opération de promotion du tourisme durable qui est basée sur la participation directe de la population locale.

Expected Results (EN):

The partners work to produce innovating tools to make “Sacred Art Tours” more attractive, such as an App for mobile phones associating the main religious monuments with the discovery of the mountain area. Simultaneously, the Cross-border Association of Greeters will be created, with volunteers of both towns who will welcome visitors, introducing them to the most typical and popular aspects of the local culture.

Expected Results (IT):

partner lavorano per realizzare strumenti per innovare la promozione degli itinerari di arte sacra; in particolare si svilupperà una applicazione mobile che permetterà di associare la visita dei principali moumenti religiosi alla scoperta dell’ambiente montano delle due stazioni. In parallelo sarà creata una Associazione Transfrontaliera di «Greeters», cioè di volontari dei due comuni che accoglieranno i visitatori, introducendoli ai vari aspetti più tipici e popolari della storia e della cultura locale. Sono previste iniziative specifiche per ogni Comune. Il restauro della chiesa di Saint-Gervais e Saint-Protais e la loro valorizzazione rappresentano l’investimento più importante del programma. Si tratta essenzialmente di lavori di recupero delle facciate esteriori, del restauro dell’interno dell’edificio, degli elementi di decorazione delle pale, degli affreschi e delle vetrate. Un’altra attività riguarda il restauro della cappella di Plans.
