Description (EN):

The project aim is to increase the level of joint municipal fire and rescue services efficiency in Lithuanian-Polish border area. The project's target groups are Šilalė, Raseiniai districts and Grodek village firefighters and local communities. The project objective will be achieved through the following activities: purchase of necessary fire services equipment; firefighters’ best practices and knowledge exchange; firefighters’ theoretical and practical training; firemen festival, during which the fire safety prevention programme will be carried out.

Celem projektu jest zwiększenie poziomu efektywności służb pożarniczych i ratowniczych na pograniczu polsko-litewskim. Grupami docelowymi projektu są strażacy z rejonów Šilalė, Raseiniai i wsi Grodek oraz społeczności lokalne. Cel projektu zostanie osiągnięty poprzez następujące działania: zakup niezbędnego sprzętu dla straży pożarnej; wymiana najlepszych praktyk i wiedzy pomiędzy strażakami; szkolenia teoretyczne i praktyczne strażaków; festyn strażacki, podczas którego zostanie przeprowadzony program zapobiegania pożarom.

Projekto tikslas - padidinti bendrų savivaldybių priešgaisrinių gelbėjimo tarnybų efektyvumo lygį Lietuvos ir Lenkijos pasienio zonoje. Projekto tikslinės grupės yra Šilalės, Raseinių rajono ir Grodek kaimo ugniagesiai bei vietos bendruomenės. Projekto tikslas bus pasiektas vykdant šias veiklas: įsigyjant reikiamą priešgaisrinių tarnybų įrangą; keičiantis žiniomis ir sukaupta ugniagesių gerąja praktika; taip pat suplanuoti ugniagesių teoriniai ir praktiniai mokymai; ugniagesių šventės metu suplanuotas priešgaisrinės saugos prevencijos programos pristatymas.

Achievements (EN):

3 new fire truck with with fire-fighting and rescue equipment were purchased. 2 exchanges of experience in performing firefighting and rescue operations was held. Four training cycles for firefighters (firefighting equipment adaptation, fire fighting tactics in rural areas, forests and peatlands, first-aid: communication with injured persons and the provision of psychological aid thereto, rescue services during floods and other extreme situations, and public education regarding fire-prevention) were organized.
