Description (EN): Having a common history, the border area between West Region of Romania and Serbia have similar characteristics, so the challenges facing the area shell be treated in a coherent and integrated manner. Cultural heritage is that which is preserving the memory and identity of Banat area, defining the specific personality of the investigated area. In our project we are involving 13 localities: Dumbravita, Zitiste, Torak, Srpski Itebej, Torda, Banatsko Višnjićevo, Ravni Topolovac, Hetin, Banatski Dvor, Medja, Čestereg, Banatsko Karađorđevo, Novi Itebej.
Our projects main objective is increasing cultural integration in the cross-border area by joint actions focusing on folk traditions and conservation of cultural values. By means of our project we are offering for the 13 involved communities possibilities to refresh the local customs in 4 tradition fields (folk dance; gastronomy traditions; folk craft traditions; and folk customs), which will increase the cultural integration. In the above mentioned localities we will establish Tradition Points with the purpose of further increase the preservation of local traditions by offering institutionalised way of customs to be represented. The long term functioning of the Tradition Points and by the cross border cooperation between them, we are giving impulse to the cultural live, we are contributing to cultural integration, and are improving the situation of marginal settlements in the cross border area. Beside the established Tradition Points, our projects has other outputs too, like the proposed 18 events: 7 folk dance festivals; 1 folk dance camp; 2 gastronomy competitions; 3 folk crafts events; 5 tradition and custom.
The newly establish Tradition Points will host the above mentioned activities. The events will be organised each time with cross border participation. For the further functioning of the Tradition Point the partners will elaborate a joint cooperation action plan, which will further increase the cross border character of the project.
New in this project is, that it deals not just with one specific segment of the cultural life, but it tries to gather all the traditional elements of the involved region, we will create also the recipe book of the traditional foods of the involved are. Original is also the establishment of Tradition Points, whose foremost priority is the conservation and preservation of traditions and customs.

Expected Results (EN): PA1- RI3 Population experiencing lively cultural life in a cross border setting. Population, especially in marginal areas, accessing various opportunities for cultural and social activities, permanently offered in joint initiatives across the border.
Expected Outputs (EN): We can identify 6 main results of our project: 8 folk dance events; 2 gastronomy event; 3 folk crafts events; 5 customs preservation events; 13 established Tradition Points; elaborated website.
By means of the above mentioned 18 events the project is providing plenty opportunity for the population of the involved 13 settlement to experiencing lively cultural life.
The website will offer permanently information and through the elaborated event calendar will offer for the population in a permanently manner joint initiatives for preserving traditions. The Tradition Points will collaborate with each other and will offer for the population of the marginal areas access to cultural information and activities.
