The common challenge is the mobility of workforce and it´s obvious that it will increase in the future. This project tackles it by international cooperation developing and disseminating curricula and creating cross-border training material for vocational education. The overall objective of the project is to develop labour skills of cleaning service and health care services in Estonia and Finland. Key target is to promote learning and professional skills in these two sectors specially in the area of hygiene. This helps reduce hygienerisks and infections while increasing safer environments in health care and cleaning services. Better professional skills also quarantee more equal opportunities for people in search of work at Baltic area and that way have impact on decreasing the social exclusion. Main result is to produce multilingual digital learning material to vocational education and working life needs which improves also language skills. Language is by far the most important factor to successful employment. It is important to develop new instruction paths and materials that utilize ICT and fill better student’s needs. This project is a cross-border project that is aiming to deliver a common shared best practices and quality standards for the wider cross-border area within the context of health care and cleaning services. This project is linked with Interreg Central Baltic programme, as well as to healthcare and the cleaning services with the objective to align vocational education curricula between both sectors in Finland and Estonia. Health care and hygienic cleaning together is one of the highest topic in the whole world and its importance is increasing because of Ebola-type infections. We can use digital network solutions for create more skills to avoid global penetration of these diseasis.

Expected Results (EN): R4.2. Increased share of aligned vocational education and training (VET) programmes in the Central Baltic region

Expected Outputs (EN):

The project aligns and enriches two curriculas and produces cross-border multilingual digital Learning material for students both in Cleaning services and Health care. Curriculas are aligned from the hygiene point of view to create training material for skills development related to hygiene. Following modules are aligned:Care worker (EST): Care worker activities (20 ECVET) and Practical training (30 ECVET)Practical Nurse (FIN): Nursing and care (20%) and Specialization in Nursing and care: Clinical Nursing care (20%)Cleaner-Supervisor, EQF level 4 (EST): Cleaning and tidying up (40 ECVET) and Basic Cleaning (6 ECVET)Vocational Qualification in Household and Cleaning (FIN): Maintenance Cleaning (20%) and Specialisation in cleaning services: Basic cleaning (20%)Digital learning material improves students’ hygiene skills and safer environments as well as language skills. It also improves competencies to enter the profession. Competent professionals improve the quality of services, client satisfaction, orientation for the new staff and international co-operation.The concrete result is a digital eLearning platform and training content for two sectors in platform. The content is result of wide collaboration of Estonian and Finnish vocational education and training as well as working life. Digital Learning material is expected to increase and spread widely to vocational education and working life giving multilingual support for learners and teachers and even more for working leaders and workers. Digital material enables lifelong learning by increasing accessibility to learn more and develop skills. The project supports ICT techniques’ development and also those technologies using learning activities. Moreover, the costs of digital learning material are less than conventional materials'' costs.Development of working and language skills and also those better matching working opportunities have strong impact on increasing social inclusion.
