All participating areas are important archipelago destinations for summer tourism, and the four small ports that are cooperating in this project (Nagu, Dalsbruk, Lickershamn, Ronehamn) have a similar base to build upon. A common challenge is the need for high-quality, green, functional and accessible services. In order to achieve sustainable development, the Baltic Sea destinations need to agree more around planning, building and signing. This project aims to ensure that the infrastructure in the small ports are equivalent in terms of service, technology and sanitation. The project will make a joint architectural vision for all ports. The joint vision will be used by the individual ports in order to make the investments executable on the local level. By making a joint plan and joint investments, the same high quality of the buildings in all participating ports can be guaranteed. The ports will invest into improved service buildings that are green, family-friendly and accessible for all visitors. Other joint investments are solar panels or other similar green solutions, quick-chargers for electrical yacht motors, accessible walking paths and modules for washing dishes that are connected to the public wastewater system. Joint marketing will inspire the visitors to travel between regions. The joint marketing will show the visitors that it is possible to get high quality services in several small ports in the archipelago, even off-season.The small ports will develop a network between each other that will be used for further joint development and marketing, and the ports will set a standard for other popular small ports to strive for. The project can be a model for how other small Baltic ports can upgrade their infrastructure and use joint marketing in the future.

Expected Outputs (EN):

The four small ports that participate in the project will invest into improved service facilities that are green and family-friendly, and accessible for all guests regardless of age and physical abilities. Other joint investments that will be implemented in the project are solar panels or other similar environmentally friendly energy solutions for the service buildings, quick-chargers for electrical yacht motors, accessible walking paths, and modules for washing dishes that are connected to the public wastewater system. The joint architectural plan will present an idea of how a family-friendly port can look like in the future - which functions are needed, what kind of investments are needed and so on. The joint marketing will show the visitors that it is possible to get the same type of high quality services in several small ports in the Baltic Sea region, and inspire the visitors to travel between the ports.
