The area involved in the project includes the tourist areas of the coast and the Karst inland region which, during the high season, experience congestions due to the exponential increase in the number of tourists. The projects aims at fighting the issue by achieving the following: 3 Sustainable Mobility Urban Plans (Lignano, Caorle, Piramo); 5 pilot ‘park&drive’ schemes: electric cars, electric charging stations; 2 plans for sustainable mobility (Park Škocjanske jame and Kobilarna Lipica).

L'area di progetto comprende località turistiche della costa e dell’entroterra carsico, che, in alta stagione, sono affette dalla congestione della mobilità a causa dell’aumento esponenziale di turisti. Il progetto mira a contrastare tale sfida, attraverso il raggiungimento dei seguenti risultati: 3 PUMS – piani urbani di mobilità sostenibile (Lignano, Caorle, Pirano); 5 sistemi pilota ‘park&drive’: veicoli elettrici, colonnine elettriche; 2 piani di mobilità sostenibile (Park Škocjanske jame e Kobilarna Lipica).

Projektno območje obsega turistične destinacije na obali in v kraškem zaledju, ki imajo veliko turistično privlačnost predvsem poleti, ko stalno prihaja do zastojev in prometnih zamaškov, zaradi izjemno povečanih turističnih tokov. Projekt naslavlja ta izziv zpreko izvedbo: 3-eh SUMP-ov – Načrti trajnostne urbane mobilnosti (Piran, Lignano, Caorle); 5-ih pPilotnih sistemov ‘parkiraj&pelji se’: električna vozila, električne polnilnice; 2-eh nNačrtova trajnostne mobilnosti (Park Škocjanske jame in Kobilarna Lipica).

Achievements (EN):

The result of the project was an increased use of low emission vehicles at tourist destinations along the coast, and connecting to the hinterland, thanks to the adoption of new mobility plans. The project envisaged the adoption of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs) by the municipalities. In fact, based on the analysis of the pre-existing SUMPs, and with the elaboration of new SUMPs, new urban mobility systems were developed that respected the principles of sustainability and accessibility. The project promoted multimodal and eco-sustainable transport, and the establishment of smart transport services for residents, travellers and tourists involving the use of electric vehicles, public transport, and other alternative means of transport (pedestrian and cycling paths) at coastal and hinterland tourist destinations. The project mainly focused upon forms of sustainable transport, with particular regard to the reduction of vehicle emissions as a major cause of pollution. Based on the solutions envisaged in the innovative smart urban mobility plans, pilot measures were implemented in order to demonstrate the utility of the innovative measures adopted. The improvement of the connections between the hinterland and coastal tourist areas was also of particular importance, meaning that the project also increased the appeal and accessibility of smaller tourist destinations. The result was a more comprehensive tourism offering, and a greater influx of tourists to the cross-border area involved in the project, with an improvement in quality of life for both residents and tourists alike.

Expected Results (IT):

L’obiettivo complessivo del progetto è promuovere la progettazione congiunta di modelli di mobilità urbana multimodale sostenibile nelle zone turistiche dell’area transfrontaliera per aumentare l’uso di mezzi di trasporto alternativi e l’attrattività turistica dell’area e al contempo diminuire l’inquinamento con una migliore accessibilità tra la zona costiera e l’entroterra. Si collega all’obiettivo del programma per una pianificazione congiunta della mobilità a basse emissioni di carbonio.

Glavni cilj projekta je spodbujati celovito načrtovanje modelov trajnostne multimodalne urbane mobilnosti v turističnih krajih čezmejnega območja in povečati uporabo alternativnih prevoznih sredstev in turistične atraktivnosti celotnega območja ter istočasno zmanjšati onesnaževanje in izboljšati dostopnost med obalnim območjem in zaledjem. Cilj projekta se povezuje s programskim ciljem, saj bo osnova za skupno načrtovanje nizkoogljične mobilnosti.

Il risultato di progetto è un aumentato uso di mezzi di trasporto a basse emissioni nelle destinazioni turistiche sulla costa e in collegamento con l’entroterra tramite l’adozione di nuovi piani di mobilità. Il progetto prevede l’adozione di Piani urbani di mobilità sostenibile (PUMS) da parte dei comuni, infatti sulla base delle analisi dei PUMS già esistenti e con l’elaborazione di nuovi PUMS verranno elaborati nuovi sistemi di mobilità urbana che rispetteranno il principio della sostenibilità e dell’accessibilità. Il progetto promuove la multimodalità, il trasporto eco-sostenibile e l’istituzione di servizi di trasporto intelligenti sia per residenti che per viaggiatori e turisti con l’uso di veicoli elettrici, mezzi pubblici e altri mezzi di trasporto alternativi (percorsi pedonali e ciclistici) nelle destinazioni turistiche costiere e nel suo entroterra. Ci orienteremo principalmente verso forme di trasporto sostenibile, soprattutto dal punto di vista della riduzione delle emissioni dei veicoli come maggiori fattori inquinanti. Sulla base delle soluzioni previste nei piani innovativi di mobilità urbana smart verranno poi attuate attività pilota che dovranno dimostrare l’utilità delle misure innovative adottate. Di particolare importanza sarà anche il miglioramento dei collegamenti tra le zone turistiche della costa e l’entroterra, il ché significa che i risultati del progetto avranno come conseguenza anche una maggiore attrattività e accessibilità delle destinazioni turistiche minori. La conseguenza sarà un’offerta turistica più completa e un maggiore afflusso di turisti nell’area transfrontaliera interessata dal progetto con un miglioramento della qualità della vita di residenti e turisti. Il risultato principale è l’adozione di nuovi piani di mobilità e un aumentato uso di mezzi di trasporto a basse emissioni nelle destinazioni turistiche sulla costa e in collegamento con l’entroterra. Rezultat projekta je povečana uporaba nizkoogljičnih prevoznih sredstev v obalnih turističnih destinacijah in v povezovanju z zaledjem s pripravo novih planov mobilnosti. V okviru projekta bodo sprejeti trajnostni načrti urbane mobilnosti (SUMP) s strani občin, saj bomo na podlagi analize obstoječih in po pripravi novih SUMP-ov na območju projekta, razvili nove zasnove sistemov urbane mobilnosti, ki bodo upoštevali načela trajnosti in dostopnosti. Projekt spodbuja multimodalnost, k okolju prijaznejšemu prevozu ter k uvajanju pametnih storitev za prevoz prebivalcev, obiskovalcev in turistov s pomočjo javnih prevoznih sredstev, električnih avtomobilov in drugih alternativnih prevoznih sredstev (pešpoti in koles) v obalnih turističnih destinacijah in njihovem zaledju. Usmerili se bomo v trajnostne oblike prevoza predvsem z vidika zmanjševanja emisij vozil kot glavnih onesnaževalcev okolja. Iz inovativnih rešitev pametne urbane mobilnosti bodo izpeljane pilotne aktivnosti, ki bodo potrdile ustreznost izbranih inovativnih ukrepov. Pomembno bo tudi izboljšanje povezav med obalnimi turističnimi destinacijami in zaledjem, kar pomeni, da bodo imeli rezultati projekta vpliv tudi na povezanje atraktivnosti in dostopnosti do manjših turističnih destinacij. Posledica tega bo celovitejša turistična ponudba in povišanje števila turistovin obiskovalcev na čezmejnem projektnem območju ter posledično izboljšanje kvalitete življenja prebivalcev in turistov. Glavni rezultat projekta je priprava novih planov mobilnosti in povečana uporaba nizkoogljičnih prevoznih sredstev v obalnih turističnih destinacijah in v povezovanju z zaledjem. V okviru projekta bodo sprejeti trajnostni načrti urbane mobilnosti (SUMP) s strani občin, saj bomo na podlagi analize obstoječih in po pripravi novih SUMP-ov na območju projekta, razvili nove zasnove sistemov urbane mobilnosti,ki bodo upoštevali načela trajnosti in dostopnosti. Predvideni ukrepi bodo usmerjeni k multimodalnosti, k okolju prijaznejšemu prevozu ter k uvajanju pametnih storitev za prevoz prebivalcev, obiskovalcev in turistov s pomočjo javnih prevoznih sredstev, električnih avtomobilov in drugih alternativnih prevoznih sredstev (pešpoti in koles) v obalnih turisti nih destinacijah in njihovem zaledju. Usmerili sebomo v trajnostne oblike prevoza predvsem z vidika zmanjševanja emisij vozil kot glavnih onesnaževalcev okolja. Iz inovativnih rešitev pametne urbane mobilnosti bodo izpeljane pilotne aktivnosti, ki bodo potrdile ustreznost izbranih inovativnih ukrepov. Pomembno bo tudi izboljšanje povezav med obalnimi turističnimi destinacijami in zaledjem, kar pomeni, da bodo imeli rezultati projekta vpliv tudi napovečanje atraktivnosti in dostopnosti do manjših turističnih destinacij. Posledica tega bo celovitejša turistična ponudba in povišanještevila turistov in obiskovalcev na čezmejnem projektnem območju ter posledično izboljšanje kvalitete življenja prebivalcev in turistov.
