Alpine territory between Cuneo and Nice has a unique cultural and landscape heritage, rich of natural spaces and specific cultures. This patrimony is nowadays threatened by various factors as the depopulation, the aging of the population and a little flux of come back toward mountain areas of a young population who doesn’t have a sufficient knowledge his own territory. From this observation emerge a necessity of a rediscovery of historic traditions, of cultural point of forces and various landscapes of this territory. From this, TERRACT project acts on Tende and Lombardie paths, Roya and Tinéé Valley. At the heart of the project is a training path for young actors of the local culture, in order to give them competences to tell and valorise the cultural, immaterial and natural heritage of the territory. Formations are based on a methodology named the Social Theatre of Community, a form of art with cultural, psychosocial and well-being finalities, involving actively local communities. This action offer a rise of awareness of the territorial richness in which they live, but also competences to promote it, in order to make them protagonists of a process of empowerment and social inclusion. Rediscovery, narratives and community are the key words of INTERRACT. The objective is to create a competences network and active new social networks, increasing in the same time the territorial marketing.

Il territorio alpino tra Cuneo e Nizza ha un patrimonio culturale e paesaggistico unico, ricco di aree naturali e nicchie culturali specifiche. È, oggi, minacciato da fattori quali la tendenza allo spopolamento, l’assenza di ricambio generazionale e un leggero flusso di ritorno nelle zone montane di una fascia di giovani che ha una scarsa conoscenza del suo patrimonio. Di qui, la necessità di una riscoperta delle tradizioni storiche, dei punti di forza culturali e della varietà paesaggistica di questo territorio. Nasce in questa cornice il progetto TERRACT – Gli attori della Terra che delimita il suo intervento sul Colle di Tenda e Colle della Lombarda, in Val Roia e Val Tinée. Il progetto mette al centro un percorso di formazione per giovani operatori culturali locali, in modo che acquisiscano le competenze per raccontare e rivalutare il patrimonio culturale, immateriale e naturale del territorio. La formazione si basa sulla metodologia di Teatro Sociale di Comunità (TSC), una forma d’arte con finalità culturali, psicosociali e di benessere che coinvolge attivamente le comunità locali. Lo scopo è di dotare le popolazioni della consapevolezza della ricchezza territoriale in cui vivono e delle competenze per promuoverla, rendendole così protagoniste di un processo di empowerment e di inclusione sociale. Riscoperta, racconto e comunità sono le parole chiave di TERRACT. Mettere in rete competenze e attivare nuove reti sociali, aumentando allo stesso tempo il marketing territoriale è l’obiettivo generale del progetto.

Le territoire alpin entre Cuneo et Nice possède un patrimoine culturel et de paysage unique, riche d’espaces naturels et de niches culturelles spécifiques. Ce patrimoine est aujourd’hui menacé par divers facteurs tels que la tendance au dépeuplement, le vieillissement de la population et un léger flux de retour vers les zones montagneuses d’une catégorie de jeunes ayant une insuffisante connaissance de son patrimoine. De cette constatation émerge la nécessité d’une redécouverte des traditions historiques, des points de force culturelle et des variétés de paysage de ce territoire. De là le projet TERRACT- Les acteurs de la Terre qui délimite son intervention sur les cols de Tende et de la Lombardie, au Val Roya et Val Tinée. Au cœur du projet se trouve un parcours de formation pour les jeunes acteurs de la culture locale, afin qu’ils acquièrent les compétences pour raconter et revaloriser le patrimoine culturel, immatériel et naturel du territoire. La formation se base sur la méthodologie du Théâtre Sociale de Communauté (TSC), une forme d’art ayant des finalités culturelles, psychosociales et de bien-être qui implique activement les communautés locales. Cette action leur offre une prise de conscience de la richesse territoriale dans laquelle ils vivent mais également des compétences pour la promouvoir, afin de les rendre protagonistes d’un processus d’autonomisation et d’inclusion sociale. Redécouverte, récit et communauté sont les paroles clés de TERRACT. L’objectif est de faire émerger un réseau de compétences et activer de nouveaux réseaux sociaux, en augmentant en même temps le marketing territorial.

The project “Terract – The Actors of the Earth”, which was officially completed in December 2020, was told about the two years of the project through two video documentaries that trace the numerous activities of the teams, pioneers, terract teenagers and local realities through interviews and images. Expected Results (EN):

The first action provided by TERRACT is the regrouping of studies, researches, and projects conducted over the territory located between Cuneo and Nice to rediscover places and cultural particularities with a main interest and make them usable thorough an online platform. The second action is the realisation of a formation path in two years, on week-ends, taught by professionals coming from the theatre field or experts of local traditions, intended to a group of 30 young from 18 to 35 years. This group, called “the pioneers”, will be formed as cultural actors and will obtain competences in dramaturgy of community, community events management, funds rising, theatre expression and good manners. Young will become an effective resource of the territory, in grade of create and organise events of community from the voices of inhabitants of the territory, and cultural, historic, geographic local resources. The third action involve another community composed of 120 young between 14 and 25 years, who are invited to participate, with the “pioneers” and professional actors at two great summer events, named “theatre workshop”. Three weeks in presence where the formation will be alternate with the production of itinerant spectacles. These workshops are a model for cultural events that they could, when the project will be end, be realized on the territory involving the rest of the population.

Expected Results (IT):

La prima azione prevista da TERRACT è la mappatura di studi, ricerche, progetti condotti sul territorio compreso tra Cuneo e Nizza per riscoprire luoghi e particolarità culturali di maggior interesse e renderle fruibili tramite una piattaforma online. La seconda azione prevede la realizzazione di un corso di formazione di due anni, su weekend, tenuto da professionisti provenienti da mondo del teatro ed esperti di cultural heritage, e destinato ad un gruppo di 30 giovani tra i 18 e i 35 anni. Questi, detti “apripista”, si formeranno come operatori culturali e acquisiranno competenze di drammaturgia di comunità, trasformazione degli spazi, recupero di testimonianze, animazione di comunità, progettazione di un evento di comunità, di fundraising, di costruzione del gruppo, espressione teatrale e life skills. I giovani diventeranno una risorsa effettiva del territorio, in grado di progettare e organizzare eventi di comunità a partire dalle voci di chi abita il territorio e dalle risorse culturali, storiche e geografiche locali. La terza azione coinvolge un’altra porzione delle comunità, quella costituita da 120 giovani tra i 14 e i 25 anni, che vengono invitati a partecipare insieme agli apripista e agli attori professionisti a due grandi eventi estivi, detti “cantieri teatrali”. Tre settimane residenziali dove la formazione si alterna alla produzione di performance itineranti. I cantieri sono un modello per gli eventi culturali che potranno, una volta concluso il progetto, esser realizzati sul territorio coinvolgendo il resto della cittadinanza.

La première action prévue par TERRACT est le regroupement d’études, recherches, et projets conduits sur le territoire situé entre Cuneo et Nice pour redécouvrir les lieux et particularités culturelles d’intérêt majeur et les rendre utilisables à travers une plateforme en ligne. La seconde action prévoit la réalisation d’un cours de formation de deux ans, sur les weekends, menée par des professionnels provenant du monde du théâtre et des experts des traditions locales, destiné à un groupe de 30 jeunes de 18 à 35 ans. Ces derniers, dits « pionniers », se formeront en tant qu’acteurs culturels et acquereront des compétences de dramaturgie de communauté, de transformation des espaces, de récupération de témoignages, d’animation de communautés, d’organisation d’un évènement de communauté, de levée de fonds, de construction de groupe, d’expressions théâtrales et de savoir-vivre. Les jeunes deviendront une ressource effective du territoire, en capacité de concevoir et d’organiser des évènements de communauté à partir des voix de ceux qui habitent le territoire, ainsi que des ressources culturelles, historiques et géographiques locales. La troisième action implique une autre communauté constituée de 120 jeunes entre 14 et 25 ans, qui sont invités à participer avec les pionniers et les acteurs professionnels à deux grands évènements estivaux, dits « chantiers théâtraux ». Trois semaines en présentiel où la formation s’alterne avec la production de spectacles itinérants. Les chantiers sont un modèle pour les évènements culturels qui pourrons, une fois le projet conclu, être réalisés sur le territoire en impliquant le reste de la population.
