Description (EN):

The project improves access to primary and emergency health care (at isolated and deprived communities) in the cross border area by providing a personal mobile healthcare system on the base of the mobile video supporting device. It creates a user friendly system, so the healthcare system will be equitable, considers models for intelligent remote healthcare monitoring, decreases human mortality by reliable easy-to-use and effective intelligent tools, enables seamless adaptation between different kind of bio-sensors thus introducing a new e-health approach in the clinical practice, allows persons to be under constant monitoring of their physical conditions by healthcare professionals, reduces geographical/physical boundaries as barriers for individuals.

Expected Results (EN):

Low-level system design to enable extensive real-time and reliable biomedical data acquisition. System networking. Development of a scalable innovative remote health monitoring system, fulfilling all requirements for its further integration of future needs. Dissemination, standardization and exploitation of results. Effective prevention of medical complications. Time efficiency for both the patient and the health professional by reducing unnecessary visits and tests, while at the same time assuring that critical cases are seen more quickly. Keeping patient close to the local healthcare experts when away from home. Provision of healthcare services in emergencies and remote areas.
