Η υλοποίηση του έργου ACUA που αφορά αυτόνομους μηχανικούς κομποστοποιητές για αστικούς χώρους έχει να κάνει με την εφαρμογή της τεχνολογίας, που από τη μια: α) θα στηρίξει την ανάπτυξη των συστημάτων διαλογής στην πηγή σε περισσότερα από δύο κλάσματα που είναι τώρα, και β) θα μπορεί να έχει ένα ενεργό και σημαντικό ρόλο, ακόμα και όταν κεντρικές μονάδες επεξεργασίας προδιαλεγμένων υπολειμμάτων θα αναπτυχθούν. Η εν λόγω τεχνολογία θα εφαρμοστεί και στους τρεις εμπλεκόμενους δήμους (Δήμος Ηρακλείου, Δήμος Ρόδου και Δήμος Λεμεσού)

Description (EN):

The implementation of the ACUA project, autonomous mechanical compactors for urban areas, is about the implementation of technology that (a) will support the development of screening systems at source that is more than two fractions now and (b) it can have an active and important role, even when central pretreatment processing units will develop. This technology will be implemented in all three municipalities involved (Municipality of Heraklion, Municipality of Rhodes and Limassol Municipality)

Expected Results (EL):

Στα αναμενόμενα αποτέλεσματα του έργου εκτιμάται ότι, α) οι υποδομές που θα αναπτυχθούν θα μπορούν να διαχωρίσουν και να κομποστοποιούν παραπάνω από 50 tn βιοαποβλήτων ετησίως σε κάθε Δήμο, 150 tn συνολικά και τουλάχιστον 300 tn στη διάρκεια του έργου. Καθώς η διαδικασία αυτή θα βελτιώνει και την καθαρότητα των ανακυκλώσιμων υλικών, μπορεί να προστεθεί σε αυτό το ποσό και ένα καθαρό νέο κλάσμα υλικών συσκευασίας, της τάξης των 25 tn / έτος. Σε ότι αφορά στους δείκτες αποτελέσματος, αυτοί αναφέρονται στην ίδια δράση ως ποσοστό οικιακών αποβλήτων που εκτρέπονται από την ταφή, β) μπορεί να θεωρηθεί ότι εκτρέπονται από την ταφή 50 tn βιοαποβλήτων για κάθε Δήμο, τα οποία θα κατέληγαν στην ταφή, και περίπου 5 tn ανακυκλώσιμων που δεν απορρίπτονται από τα κέντρα διαλογής ανακυκλώσιμων υλικών, λόγω της χαμηλής καθαρότητάς τους. Σε σχέση με το σύνολο των ΑΣΑ του κάθε Δήμου που εκτιμάται ότι καταλήγουν σε ΧΥΤΑ και είναι 90.000 tn για το Δήμο Ηρακλείου, 40.000 tn για το Δήμο Λεμεσού και 50.000 tn για το Δήμο Ρόδου τα ποσοστά που επιτυγχάνονται μέσα από το ACUA είναι 0,06 % για το Δήμο Ηρακλείου, 0,14 % για το Δήμο Λεμεσού και 0,11 % για το Δήμο Ρόδου και γ) σε ότι αφορά στο βιαποδομήσιμο κλάσμα που εκτιμάται σε 40.500 tn για το Δήμο Ηρακλείου, 20.250 tn για το Δήμο Λεμεσού και 22.500 tn για το Δήμο Ρόδου, οι 50 tn βιοαποβλήτων ισούνται με 0,12 %, 0,25 % και 0,22 % αντίστοιχα

Expected Results (EN):

The expected results of the project are estimated that a) the infrastructure to be developed will be able to separate and compost more than 50 tn of bio-waste per year in each municipality, 150 tonnes in total and at least 300 tn during the project. As this process will also improve the purity of recyclable materials, a net new fraction of packaging materials of 25 tn / year can be added to this amount. As far as the result indicators are concerned, they refer to the same action as the percentage of household waste that is diverted from burial, b) they can be considered to be diverted from the burial of 50 tonnes of biowaste for each Municipality that would result in burial and about 5 tn recyclable materials that are not disposed of by recyclable sorting centers because of their low purity. In relation to the total SMPs of each Municipality estimated to end up in landfills and is 90.000 tn for the municipality of Heraklion, 40.000 tn for the Limassol Municipality and 50.000 tn for the Municipality of Rhodes, the percentages achieved through the ACUA are 0.06 % for the Municipality of Heraklion, 0,14% for the Municipality of Limassol and 0,11% for the Municipality of Rhodes and c) for the violating fraction estimated at 40,500 tn for the Municipality of Heraklion, 20,250 tn for the Limassol Municipality and 22,500 tn for the municipality of Rhodes, the 50 tn bio-waste is equal to 0.12%, 0.25% and 0.22% respectively

Expected Outputs (EL):

1.Μια αναλυτική καταγραφή των χαρακτηριστικών των διαφορετικών συνοικιών των εμπλεκόμενων Δήμων, ώστε να επιλεχθούν κατάλληλες και αντιπροσωπευτικές περιοχές για την εγκατάσταση των αυτόνομων μηχανικών κομποστοποιητών. Ανοιχτή πρόσκληση στους δημότες/φορείς, ώστε να συμφωνήσουν στην τοποθέτηση τους και στις υποχρεώσεις που αυτή συνεπάγεται. Στόχος, η επιλογή 3-4 πολυκατοικιών (ή χώρων αστικού ενδιαφέροντος) σε όλους τους εμπλεκόμενους Δήμους με συνολικά 200 με 250 κατοίκους. 2.Σχεδιασμός του συστήματος διαλογής στην πηγή που θα εφαρμοστεί στους Δήμους. Ανάπτυξη, εντός των χώρων, συστήματος διαχωρισμού των βιοαποβλήτων με τη χρήση ειδικών κάδων και κομποστοποιήσιμες σακούλες. Στόχος 50 με 60 νοικοκυριά σε κάθε Δήμο. 3. Η απόκτηση πέντε (5) αυτόνομων μηχανικών κομποστοποιητών ωφέλιμης χωρητικότητας 1-2,0 m3 ο καθένας, για κάθε Δήμο ή 2 ωφέλιμης χωρητικότητας 1-2,0 m3 και 1 ωφέλιμης χωρητικότητας 8-15 m3 ή 4 ωφέλιμης χωρητικότητας 2-4 m3 και έναν 1-2m3. 4. Λειτουργία, τόσο των αυτόνομων μηχανικών κομποστοποιητών (με συνεχή παρακολούθηση τους), όσο και του γενικότερου συστήματος διαλογής στην πηγή που θα έχει εγκατασταθεί στις πολυκατοικίες. Με βάση τις αρχικές εκτιμήσεις αναμένεται να διαχειριστούν, μέσα σε ένα πλήρες έτος, περισσότεροι από 50 tn βιοαποβλήτων σε κάθε έναν από τους Δήμους και ακόμα 25 tn ανακυκλώσιμα υλικά. 5. Πλήρης οικονομική και περιβαλλοντική αξιολόγηση της λειτουργίας των παραπάνω και ανάπτυξη οδηγιών και σχεδιαστικών μοντέλων, για εφαρμογή του συνόλου της διαδικασίας. 6. Ένα ολοκληρωμένο σχέδιο διάχυσης και δημοσιότητας των αποτελεσμάτων , με τη χρήση συμβατικών αλλά και ηλεκτρονικών μέσων επικοινωνίας και ενημέρωσης.

Expected Outputs (EN):

1. A detailed study of the characteristics of the different districts of the municipalities involved, in order to select suitable and representative areas for the installation of the autonomous mechanical compactors. Open invitation to citizens / stakeholders to agree on their placement and the obligations it entails. The goal is the selection of 3-4 blocks of flats (or urban areas) in all municipalities involved with a total of 200 to 250 inhabitants. 2. Development of the sorting system at source to be implemented in the Municipalities. Develop of a biodegradation separation system using special bins and compostable bags. The goal is the selection of 50 to 60 households in each municipality. 3. The acquisition of five (5) autonomous mechanical compactors of a useful capacity of 1-2.0 m3 each, for each Municipality or of 2 beneficial capacity of 1-2,0 m3 and of a useful capacity of 8-15 m3 or 4 of beneficial capacity of 2-4 m3 and one 1-2m3. 4. Operation of both the autonomous mechanical compactors (with continuous monitoring) and the general sorting system at the source to be installed in the blocks of flats. Based on initial estimates, over a full year, more than 50 tn of bio-waste are expected to be managed in each of the municipalities and 25 tn of recyclable materials. 5. Full economic and environmental assessment of the operation of the above and development of guidelines and design models for the implementation of the whole process. 6. An integrated project for the dissemination of results using both conventional and electronic means of communication and information.
