Το έργο αφορά στην ψηφιοποίηση και διάσωση ιστορικού, κοινωνικού, και πολιτισμικού αρχειακού υλικού με όρους ανοικτής πρόσβασης. Το αρχεία αυτά περιλαμβάνουν κομβικής σημασίας από ιστορική άποψη γεγονότα και εξελίξεις της νεότερης και σύγχρονης ιστορίας που διαδραματίστηκαν στην Κύπρο και την περιοχή του Νότιου Αιγαίου (Ρόδος). Στόχος είναι η δημιουργία και ενίσχυση σύγχρονων υποδομών ΤΠΕ για να αναπτυχθεί αφενός, η χωρική συνεργασία των δύο περιοχών και αφετέρου, να αναδειχθούν οι περιοχές ως πόλο καινοτομίας για την τεκμηρίωση, την ανάδειξη, την σύγκριση και την προβολή ιστορικών γεγονότων στον ευρύτερο χώρο της Νοτιοανατολικής Μεσογείου. Ειδικοί στόχοι του έργου αποτελούν: α) η υλοποίηση με υψηλές προδιαγραφές της ψηφιοποίησης των αρχείων κατά τρόπο ώστε να εξασφαλιστεί η διάσωση, η ασφαλής φύλαξη, η συντήρηση, η ταξινόμηση και τεκμηρίωση του υλικού β) η δημιουργία σύγχρονης υποδομής για τη διαχείριση του ψηφιοποιημένου αρχείου από τους φορείς γ) η ανάδειξη, σύγκριση και προβολή υλικού στις σημερινές και μέλλουσες γενιές των δύο χωρών δ) η ενθάρρυνση ενός μόνιμου δικτύου διασυνοριακής συνεργασίας των δύο περιοχών σε θέματα ιστορικής έρευνας και παρουσίασης γεγονότων που επηρέασαν καθοριστικά την εξέλιξή τους ε) η δημιουργία δικτυακής υποδομής για εύκολη/γρήγορη έρευνα και πρόσβαση στο ψηφιοποιημένο υλικό από το κοινό και ειδικές ομάδες στ) η δημιουργία των προϋποθέσεων για την προσβασιμότητα ΑμεΑ στο ψηφιοποιημένο υλικό ζ) η ικανοποίηση της ανάγκης ενημέρωσης των πολιτών για πρόσβαση σε ιστορικά αρχεία και πληροφορίες

Description (EN):

The project concerns the digitization and rescue of historical, social and cultural archival material in terms of open access. These records include historically significant events of the modern and contemporary history that took place in Cyprus and the South Aegean region (Rhodes). The aim is to create and strengthen modern ICT infrastructures in order to develop the cooperation of the two regions and to develop the regions as an innovation pole for the documentation, promotion, comparison of historical events in the wider area of the South East Mediterranean . The specific objectives of the project are: a) the implementation of high-quality digitization of the archives in order to ensure the rescue, safe storage, maintenance, classification and documentation of the material b) the creation of modern infrastructure for the management of the digitized archive c) the promotion and comparison of material to the present and future generations of the two countries d) the encouragement of a permanent network of cross-border cooperation between the two regions in the fields of historical research and presenting events that have had a decisive impact on their development e) creating a network infrastructure for easy / fast research and access to digitized material by the public and special groups f) creating conditions for accessibility of disabled people to digitized material g) satisfing the citizens' need for information accessing historical records

Expected Results (EL):

Στα αναμενόμενα αποτελέσματα περιλαμβάνονται: α) η ψηφιακή αρχειοθέτηση εξαιρετικής αξίας πρωτογενούς υλικού που συνιστά τη συνέχεια ενός ιστορικά ενιαίου χώρου, β) η ενδυνάμωση των σχέσεων επικοινωνίας και η ενίσχυση της συνοχής του ευρωπαϊκού χώρου στις συγκεκριμένες περιοχές, γ) η συμβολή στην κατανόηση ιστορικών ζητημάτων του Αιγαίου και της Αν. Μεσογείου και η ενίσχυση της ιστορικής μνήμης των κατοίκων, δ) η προώθηση της επιστημονικής συνεργασίας και η ενίσχυση των διασυνοριακών τους σχέσεων, ε) η αναβάθμιση των δυνατοτήτων πρόσβασης σε ιστορικό υλικό, στ) η διασφάλιση της ανοικτότητας και διαλειτουργικότητας των εφαρμογών, καθώς και της προσβασιμότητας τους για όλους, σε συνθήκες ασφάλειας. Το έργο προσδίδει προστιθέμενη αξία στο αρχειακό υλικό, του οποίου η πρόσβαση, η αξιοποίηση και η ανάδειξη υπό τις σημερινές συνθήκες είναι εξαιρετικά δύσκολη και η έκθεση του σε φθορά μια διαρκής απειλή.

Expected Results (EN):

The expected results include: a) the digital archiving of exceptional value of primary material constituting the continuation of a historically unified area b) strengthening communication relations and enhancing the coherence of the European space in the specific areas; c) contributing to the understanding of historical issues (d) the promotion of scientific cooperation and the strengthening of their cross-border relations; (e) the upgrading of accessibility (f) ensuring the openness and interoperability of applications, as well as their accessibility for all, under safety conditions. The project adds value to the archive material, whose access, exploitation and emergence under the current conditions is extremely difficult and its exposure to weariness is a constant threat.

Στις αναμενόμενες εκροές του έργου περιλαμβάνονται: 1. Ψηφιοποίηση αρχειακού υλικού (οπτικοακουστικού, μουσικού και έντυπου) . 2. Δράσεις Δημοσιότητας και Πληροφόρησης (λογότυπο έργου, ενημερωτικά φυλλάδια, αφίσα, ραδιοφωνικό και τηλεοπτικό ενημερωτικό υλικό, ημερίδες, συνέδριο). 3. Ψηφιοποιημένο αρχειακό υλικό από κρίσιμες ιστορικές περιόδους. 4. Επανασχεδιασμός και Ανάπτυξη Διαδικτυακής Πύλης / Κοινής Διαδικτυακής Πύλης Ψηφιακός Ηρόδοτος .

Expected Outputs (EN):

The expected outputs of the project include: 1. Digitization of archival material (audio-visual, musical and printed). 2. Dissemination actions (project logo, brochures, posters, radio and TV news materials, workshops, conferences). 3. Digitized archival material from critical historical periods. 4. Redesign and Development of a common Web Portal.
