The aim of this project is to encourage social enterprises in ground-gaining, in the border region, based on the practice from Hungary. Further goal is to call attention to the fact that disadvantaged people are equally important members of the socie ty. Social enterprises can serve as an excellent opportunity for people with mental or physical disabilities to strengthen their self-esteem an enable them to do useful things; to earn money for themselves while doing useful work for the society. The system of social enterprises has developed a lot in Hungary, where it is a solution for employing socially disadvantaged people. On the other hand, this form of business and of employment is only present to a limited extent in Serbia, due to the lac k of legal regulation in this field. We will create the model centre of innovative social enterprises in Senta. It will be a unit with necessary infrastructure for providing both hard and soft help to initiatives for stating social enterprises. The c entre will provide space, legal and other advice to interested parties. We will also establish a social enterprise as a pilot project, to cross the entire process from the idea to realisation. It will remain even after the maintenance period of the p roject, serving as a good example. Our aim is to combine innovation and social character, which result in outputs that are beneficial both for individuals and the society. Within the project, Dartke Asoociation will operate an advisory centre for soc ial entreprises in Szeged. The sample social enterprise, which will be established in Senta, will employ 20 disabled people, while on the Hungarian side the existing businesses will be improved and employ additional 10 employees. The common output of this project is the innovation-based range of products that will be launched on the market in cooperation.
