Prihraničný región okolo Bratislavy sa vyznačuje značným nárastom počtu obyvateľstva. Vyžaduje si aj dobre fungujúcu cezhraničnú zdravotnú starostlivosť. V dôsledku chýbajúcej spolupráce oboch krajín v tejto oblasti však dochádza k rozdielom v dostupnosti zdravotnej starostlivosti v blízkosti bydliska. Prejavilo sa to za posledné roky hlavne pri starostlivosti o neonatologické urgentné prípady. Keďže v súčasnosti nie sú možné cezhraničné výjazdy záchrannej služby, treba novorodencov v urgentnom prípade previezť z nemocnice Landesklinikum Hainburg (ďalej iba nemocnica Hainburg), ktorá nemá detské oddelenie, do nemocnice Landesklinikum Mistelbach, ktorá je vzdialená 74 km napriek tomu, že Detská fakultná nemocnica s poliklinikou Bratislava je vzdialená iba 16 km. Pomocou projektu „Bridges for Birth“ sa má vykonať prvý pokus na etablovanie dlhodobej trvalo udržateľnej cezhraničnej zdravotnej starostlivosti v rakúsko-slovenskom prihraničnom regióne. Popri vybudovaní cezhraničnej spolupráce nemocníc, v rámci ktorej bude možné prevážať v budúcnosti neonatologické urgentné prípady z nemocnice Hainburg do neďalekej Detskej fakultnej nemocnice s poliklinikou Bratislava, sa odhadnú aj potenciály budúcej spolupráce a vytvoria základné rámcové podmienky pre poskytovanie cezhraničnej starostlivosti o pacientov. Tým možno zosúladiť výkony systémov zdravotníctva s potrebami miestneho obyvateľstva, čím sa trvalo udržateľne zlepší kvalita života.

Die Grenzregion rund um Bratislava ist von einem besonders starken Bevölkerungswachstum geprägt. Dies verlangt auch eine gut funktionierende grenzüberschreitende Gesundheitsversorgung. Aufgrund der mangelnden Kooperation der zwei Länder in diesem Bereich kommt es jedoch zu Ungleichheiten im Zugang zu wohnortnahen Gesundheitsdienstleistungen. Dies hat sich in den letzten Jahren vor allem bei der Versorgung von neonatologischen Notfällen bemerkbar gemacht. Da derzeit keine grenzüberschreitenden Rettungsfahrten möglich sind, müssen Neugeborene im Notfall vom Landesklinikum Hainburg - das über keine Kinderabteilung verfügt - in das 74km entfernte Landesklinikum Mistelbach überstellt werden, obwohl auf slowakischer Seite das Kinderuniversitätsklinikum Bratislava nur 16km entfernt liegt. Mit dem Projekt „Bridges for Birth“ wird erstmals der Versuch gemacht, langfristig eine nachhaltige grenzüberschreitende Gesundheitsversorgung im österreichischslowakischen Grenzraum zu etablieren. Neben dem Ausbau der Krankenhauskooperation über die Grenze hinweg, durch den in Zukunft neonatologische Notfälle aus dem LK Hainburg ins nahegelegene Kinderuniversitätsklinikum Bratislava transportiert werden können, werden auch zukünftige Kooperationspotentiale eingeschätzt und grundlegende Rahmenbedingungen für die Umsetzung einer grenzüberschreitenden Patientenversorgung geschaffen. Dadurch können die Leistungen der Gesundheitssysteme mit den Bedürfnissen der lokalen Bevölkerung in Einklang gebracht werden, wodurch sich die Lebensqualität nachhaltig verbessert.

Description (EN):

The border region around Bratislava is characterized by particularly strong population growth. This also requires well-functioning cross-border healthcare. However, the lack of cooperation between the two countries in this area leads to inequalities in access to local health services. This has become noticeable in recent years, especially in the care for neonatal emergencies. Since no cross-border rescue trips are currently possible, neonates must be transferred from Hainburg State Hospital - which does not have a paediatric ward- to Murgelbach State Hospital which is 74km away whilst Bratislava Children's University Hospital is only 16km away. The "Bridges for Birth" project is the first attempt to establish long-term sustainable cross-border healthcare in the Austrian-Slovak border area. In addition to the expansion of the hospital cooperation across the border, which will enable neonatal emergencies to be transported from the LK Hainburg to the nearby Bratislava Children's University Hospital in the future, future cooperation potentials will also be assessed and basic conditions for the implementation of cross-border patient care will be created. As a result, the performance of health care systems can be reconciled with the needs of the local population thus sustainably improving the quality of life.

Expected Results (SK):

Najdôležitejším výsledkom projektu bude vytvorenie potrebných rámcových podmienok cezhraničnej starostlivosti o pacientov v neonatologickej oblasti a položenie základu dlhodobej spolupráce medzi partnermi. Prispeje to k indikátoru výsledkov programu tým, že sa trvalo udržateľne zlepší intenzita spolupráce medzi Dolným Rakúskom a Slovenskom v zdravotníctve.

Expected Results (DE):

Als wichtigstes Ergebnis des Projekts werden die notwendigen Rahmenbedingungen für eine grenzüberschreitende Patientenversorgung im neonatologischen Bereich geschaffen und das Fundament für eine langfristige Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Partnern gelegt. Dies trägt zum Ergebnisindikator des Programms bei, indem sich die Intensität der Kooperation zwischen Niederösterreich und der Slowakei im Bereich Gesundheitswesen nachhaltig verbessert.

Expected Results (EN):

The most important project’s result will be the necessary framework for cross-border patient care in the neonatological field and the foundation of long-term cooperation between the partners. This will contribute to the result indicator of the program by sustainably improving the intensity of cooperation between Lower Austria and Slovakia in the healthcare sector.
