Description (EN):

The objective of CYCLALG is to develop and validate the technological processes to obtain biodiesel from cultivating microalgae. This uses a Circular Economy scheme where waste is used as the nutritional input, and a Biorefinery model for the comprehensive use of biomass and the diversification of value-added products in the chemical, energy and agricultural industries. A life-cycle analysis is employed in each scheme to optimise the flow of resources and guarantee improved economic and environmental sustainability for the overall process. CYCLALG will result in innovative technological processes to extend the life of organic waste, which may then be used by other industrial sectors within the food industry, thus improving the durability of the results. CYCLALG deals with opportunities in renewable and environmental energy. It also responds to other challenges identified in the POCTEFA Territory, such as promoting R & D through cross-border cooperation between technology centres and knowledge transfer with the private sector. Thus, CYCLALG provides direct dissemination to ensure the public nature of the results as well as early validation of the technologies developed by companies from various industrial sectors.

CYCLALG a pour objectif de développer et valider des processus technologiques visant à implémenter l'obtention de biodiesel à travers la culture de microalgues, proposant un schéma basé sur l'Économie circulaire, où les déchets générés y sont mis à profit comme inputs nutritionnels, et un modèle de Bioraffinerie qui poursuit la mise à profit intégrale de la biomasse et la diversification des produits à valeur ajoutée dans l'industrie chimique, énergétique et agricole. Dans chaque schéma on emploie l'Analyse de Cycle de Vie pour optimiser le flux des ressources et garantir une amélioration dans la durabilité économique et environnementale du processus global. Les résultats de CYCLALG seront des processus technologiques innovants qui permettent de rallonger la vie utile des déchets organiques et qui pourront être adoptés dans ce but par d'autres activités industrielles du secteur agricole, améliorant ainsi la durabilité des résultats. CYCLALG affronte des opportunités en matière d'énergies renouvelables et environnementales. Il répond en outre à d'autres défis identifiés en Territoire POCTEFA comme de stimuler la R&D+i à travers la collaboration transfrontalière entre centres technologiques et promouvoir le transfert de connaissances au secteur privé. Ce pourquoi, CYCLALG contemple des actions directes de diffusion qui garantissent le caractère public des résultats, outre des actions de validation précoce des technologies développées par des entreprises de divers secteurs.

CYCLALG tiene como objetivo desarrollar y validar procesos tecnológicos dirigidos a implementar la obtención de biodiesel vía cultivo de microalgas planteando un esquema basado en Economía Circular, donde los residuos generados se aprovechan como inputs nutricionales en el mismo, y un modelo de Biorefinería que persigue el aprovechamiento integral de la biomasa y la diversificación de productos de valor añadido en la industria química, energética y agropecuaria. En cada esquema se emplea Análisis de Ciclo de Vida para optimizar el flujo de recursos y garantizar una mejora en la sostenibilidad económica y medioambiental del proceso global. Los resultados de CYCLAG serán procesos tecnológicos innovadores que permitan alargar la vida útil de los residuos orgánicos y que podrán ser adoptadas con este propósito por otras actividades industriales del sector agroalimentario, mejorando así la durabilidad de los resultados. CYCLAGL afronta oportunidades en materia de energías renovables y de medioambiente. Además responde a otros retos identificados en Territorio POCTEFA como son incentivar la I+D+i mediante la cooperación transfronteriza entre centros tecnológicos y promover la transferencia de conocimientos al sector privado. Por ello, CYCLALG contempla acciones directas de difusión que garantizan el carácter público de los resultados además de acciones de validación precoz de las tecnologías desarrolladas por parte de empresas pertenecientes a diversos sectores industriales.
