The WHO (2016) lists antibiotic resistance as one of the 3 major problems facing humanity. In Europe it causas 25000 annual deaths and losses of 1500M€. The international initiative One Health proposes the reduction of the use of these medicines in the fields: clinical and veterinary. It should be noted that the livestock sector consumes 70% of the antibiotics sold worldwide. The project aims to contribute to improving the management of the use of antibiotics in the livestock sector (bovine, ovine, porcine and avian) and thus reduce the risk of their presence in the food chain. The main objective is the development of innovative analytical tools for the rapid detection of residues of antibiotics in live animals. This pioneering initiative will allow farmers and food industry in the region to benefit from a unique solution for the self-control of these residues in farm and slaughterhouse, which will guarantee a reduction of the health risks associated with meat production. In addition, the two participating biotechnology companies will position themselves globally at the forefront of this field of diagnosis. All this will be possible thanks to the participation of specialists from the region in pharmacology, microbiology and biosensors and the close public-private partnership with biotechnology companies that will enable to put on the market the developed systems

L'OMS (2016) répertorie la résistance aux antibiotiques comme l’un des 3 principaux problèmes rencontrés par l’humanité. En Europe elle cause 25000 décès annuels et pertes de 1500M€. L’initiative internationale One Health propose la réduction de l’utilisation de ces médicaments dans les milieux: clinique et vétérinaire. Il faut souligner que le secteur de l’élevage consomme 70% des antibiotiques vendus dans le monde. Le projet vise à contribuer à l’amélioration de la gestion de l’utilisation des antibiotiques dans l’élevage (bovin, ovin, porcin et avicole) afin de réduire les risques de sa présence dans la chaîne alimentaire. Le principal objectif est le développement d'outils analytiques innovants pour détecter rapidement des résidus d’antibiotiques chez l’animal vivant. Cette initiative novatrice permettra aux éleveurs et à l’industrie alimentaire de la région de bénéficier d’une solution unique pour l’autocontrôle de ces résidus dans l’élevage et à l’abattoir, ce qui garantira une réduction des risques de santé associés à la production de viande. En outre, les deux entreprises de biotechnologie participantes se positionneront au niveau mondial à l’avant-garde dans ce domaine du diagnostic. Tout ceci peut être réalisé grâce à la participation de spécialistes de la région en pharmacologie, en microbiologie et en biocapteurs, et à l’étroite collaboration du secteur public-privé avec les entreprises de biotechnologie, qui apportera à commercialiser les systèmes développés

La iniciativa internacional One Health propone la reducción del uso de estos medicamentos en los ámbitos: clínico y veterinario. Hay que destacar que el sector ganadero consume el 70% de los antibióticos comercializados en el mundo. El proyecto quiere contribuir a mejorar la gestión del uso de antibióticos en el sector ganadero (bovino, ovino, porcino y aviar) y así reducir el riesgo de su presencia en la cadena alimentaria. El principal objetivo es el desarrollo de herramientas analíticas innovadoras para la detección rápida de residuos de antibióticos en animal vivo. Esta iniciativa pionera permitirá a los ganaderos e industria alimentaria de la región beneficiarse de una solución única para el autocontrol de estos residuos en granja y matadero, lo que garantizará una reducción de los riesgos de salud asociados a la producción cárnica. Además, las dos empresas de biotecnología participantes se posicionarán a nivel mundial a la vanguardia en este campo de diagnóstico. Todo ello se podrá conseguir gracias a la participación de especialistas de la región en farmacología, microbiología y biosensores y la estrecha colaboración público-privada con las empresas de biotecnología que permitirá poner en el mercado los sistemas desarrollados
