BiciTransCat implica el desarrollo de un nuevo eje litoral de movilidad sostenible transfronterizo estructurado en torno a la ruta ciclista de interés europeo EuroVelo 8 “La Ruta del Mediterráneo (Cádiz-Atenas)”. Este proyecto cumple así con las altas expectativas de los turistas itinerantes, turistas con residencia fija y población local, ya resaltados por el proyecto previo Enllaç. BiciTransCat tiene como objetivo unir los principales destinos turísticos de Girona y los Pirineos Orientales a través de un eje ciclable interconectado a diferentes modos el transporte público, favoreciendo así la movilidad sostenible y permitiendo una variante costera que supone una alternativa a las carreteras a menudo saturados en verano. Para ello, se llevarán a cabo tres grandes áreas de trabajo: - Construir un nuevo tramo de la ruta EuroVelo 8 y mejorarlo mediante el desarrollo de una red de vías verdes que constituyen rutas alimentadoras de esta última, sobre todo desde la estación de TGV y AVE en Perpiñán y Figueres, mejorando la oferta de transporte trasfronterizo sostenible existente - Desarrollar nuevos servicios de movilidad sostenible y facilitar la cooperación transfronteriza multimodal (modos de acceso, información, desarrollo de equipos) - Estudiar el comportamiento de los usuarios en estos ejes de transporte sostenibles transfronterizas y medir el impacto económico de las mejoras en la oferta de transporte en todo el territorio

BiciTransCat vise le développement d’un nouvel axe littoral de mobilité durable transfrontalier structuré autour de la véloroute d'intérêt européen EuroVelo 8 The Mediterranean Route (Cadix-Athènes). Ce projet répond ainsi aux attentes fortes des touristes itinérants, des touristes en séjour fixe et de la population locale mises en exergue par le projet Enllac. BiciTransCat a comme objectif de relier les principales destinations touristiques de Girona et des Pyrénées-Orientales grâce à un axe cyclable interconnecté aux différents modes de transports publics, pour favoriser la mobilité durable, permettre une variante littorale et ainsi proposer une alternative aux axes routiers souvent saturés en période estivale. Pour ce faire, trois grands axes de travail seront mis en œuvre: - Aménager une nouvelle section de l’EuroVélo 8 et l’améliorer en développant un maillage de voies vertes constituant des itinéraires de rabattement vers ce dernier, notamment depuis les gares TGV et AVE de Perpignan et Figueres, afin d’améliorer l’offre de transport transfrontalier durable existant. - Développer de nouveaux services de mobilité durable et faciliter les comportements multimodaux transfrontaliers (accessibilité des modes, information, développement d’équipements). - Étudier les comportements des usagers sur ces axes de mobilité durable transfrontaliers et mesurer l’impact économique des améliorations apportées à l’offre de transport sur tout le territoire.

Description (EN):

BiciTransCat involves the development of a new cross-border sustainable mobility coastal axis in relation with the EuroVelo 8 "The Mediterranean Route (Cádiz-Athens)". This project meets thus the high expectations of itinerant tourists, permanent residence tourists and the local population, as highlighted in the previous project "Enllaç". The purpose of BiciTransCat is connecting the main tourist destinations in Girona and the Eastern Pyrenees by means of a cyclable axis that is interconnected to different public transport modes, thus encouraging a sustainable mobility whilst enabling a coastal bypass which offers an alternative to roads that are often saturated in the summer. For this purpose, three main areas of work are involved: - Building a new section of the EuroVelo 8 route and enhancing it by developing a network of green ways feeding the above, especially from the TGV and AVE railway stations in Perpignan and Figueres, thus improving the existing supply of sustainable cross-border transport. - Developing new sustainable mobility services and facilitating multimodal cross-border cooperation (access modes, information, equipment development). - Studying the behaviour of users in these cross-border sustainable transport axis and measuring the economic impact of these improvements in the supply of transport in the entire territory.
