Strengthening cross-border cooperation through exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of modern methods of imaging diagnostics in ophthalmology

Die Abt. für Allg. Pathologie der Pommerschen Med. Universität (AAP PMU) arbeitet seit Jahren mit der Abt. für Molekulare Hämatologie und Onkologie der Universität Greifswald (AMHuO UG) zusammen. Das Ergebnis dieser Kooperation bilden gemeinsame Projekte im Rahmen der Interreg IIIA und IVA-Programme, in deren Verlauf Schulungen im Bereich der experimentellen Hämatologie und zwei deutsch-polnische Konferenzen durchgeführt sowie eine gemeinsame Probebank eingerichtet wurden. Im Rahmen der gemeinsamen Aktivitäten lernten zahlr. Mitarbeiter und Studenten beider Hochschulen die moderne hämatologische Diagnostik kennen und machten sich mit den Ergebnissen der beiderseits der Grenze geführten Forschungsarbeit auf dem Gebiet der experimentellen Hämatologie vertraut. Das große Projektinteresse, die intensiv med. Entwicklung in diesem Bereich sowie die Notw. der Fortbildung neuer Mitarbeiter beider Hochschulen machen die Fortführung des vorherigen Projekts erforderlich. Das Projektziel umfasst eine Vertiefung u. Erweiterung der bisherigen Zusammenarbeit zwischen AAP PMU und AMHuO UG. Der neue Projektfördergegenstand wird gemeinsame Schulungen, Forschung im Bereich der experimentellen Hämatologie, ein Praktikum im Bereich der klinischen Hämatologie sowie eine int. wiss. Konferenz umfassen. Gegenüber den vorh. Projekten von 2006-2007 u. 2010-2011 erfolgte die Aktualisierung der Schulungsthemen, was die Entwicklung der hämatologischen Diagnostik, insbesondere hinsichtlich der Erkrankungen des hämatopoetischen Systems - Leukämien und Lymphome, erforderlich macht. Beide Abt. erweiterten in den letzten Jahren ihre med. Ausrüstung, was neue Schulungen möglich u. erforderlich macht. Vorgesehen ist die Fortführung der Forschungsarbeit im Bereich der experimentellen Hämatologie, die im Rahmen des ersten gemeinsamen Projekts begonnen wurde. Sie hat die hämatopoetische Stammzelltransplantation im Mausmodell zum Gegenstand. Wichtige Projektneuerung bildet die Erweiterung der grenzübergr. Zusammenarb. um die klinische Komponente mittels der Einrichtung eines klinischen Praktikums im Bereich der hämatopoetischen Stammzelltransplantation bei Patienten des Transplantationszentrums, das mit der Abt. für Experimentelle Hämatologie und Onkologie verbunden ist. Die Nähe der beiden med. Einrichtungen, das Fehlen eines hämatologischen Transplantationszentrums an der PMU in Szczecin sowie die langjährige Erfahrung unseres deutschen Partners auf diesem Geb. bieten die Gelegenheit zur Stärkung der grenzübergr. Zusammenarb. nicht nur im Bereich der experimentellen und klinischen Hämatologie und Onkologie. Dies begünstigt die Entstehung eines ähnlichen Transplantationszentrums auf polnischer Seite, was auch eine große Chance für Patienten der Euroregion Pomerania auf verbesserte Behandlung von Erkrankungen des hämatopoetischen Systems, insbesondere von Tumorerkrankungen bedeutet. Zum Abschluss wird eine wiss. Konferenz veranstaltet, die die Gelegenheit zum Austausch theoretischen Wissens und klinischer Erfahrungen im Bereich der Hämatologie und der hämatologischen Onkologie beiderseits der Grenze bietet. Ergebnis der gemeinsamen Arbeit ist die Humanressourcenentwicklung mittels der Steigerung des Qualifikationsniveaus der wiss. Mitarbeiter und Studenten beider Hochschulen. Die Intensivierung der grenzübergr. Zusammenarb. beim Wissensaustausch und der Erlangung neuer Fähigkeiten wird die wissenschaftliche Forschung auf dem Gebiet der experimentellen Hämatologie beiderseits der Grenze erweitern. Längerfristig werden Forschungsarbeit und durchgeführte Schulungen in diesem Bereich eine Verbesserung der hämatologischen Diagnostik nach sich ziehen. Wichtig ist, dass die Erweiterung der Zusammenarb. zwischen den medizinischen Einrichtungen um den Bereich der klinischen Hämatologie sich künftig auch auf Behandlungsmöglichkeiten in der Euroregion Pomerania, darunter auf die Einrichtung eines hämatopoetischen Stammzelltransplantationszentrums positiv auswirken wird.

Zakład Patologii Ogólnej Pomorskiego Uniwersytetu Medycznego (ZPO PUM) od lat współpracuje z Kliniką Hematologii i Onkologii Molekularnej Uniwersytetu w Greifswaldzie (KHiOM UG). Efektem kooperacji są wspólne projekty zrealizowane w ramach programu Interreg IIIA i Interreg IVA, w przebiegu których przeprowadzono szkolenia z zakresu hematologii doświadczalnej, zorganizowano dwie polsko-niemieckie konferencje oraz stworzono wspólny bank próbek. W ramach wspólnych działań wielu pracowników i studentów obu Uczelni poznało nowoczesną diagnostykę hematologiczną oraz zapoznało się z badaniami prowadzonymi w dziedzinie hematologii doświadczalnej po obu stronach granicy. W związku z dużym zainteresowaniem dotychczas przeprowadzonymi działaniami, intensywnym rozwojem medycyny w tym zakresie, a także potrzebą dokształcania nowych pracowników obu Uczelni, konieczna jest kontynuacja wcześniejszych projektów. Celem projektu będzie pogłębienie i rozszerzenie istniejącej współpracy pomiędzy ZPO PUM a KHiOM UG. Przedmiotem wykorzystania środków pomocowych w bieżącym projekcie będą wspólne szkolenia oraz badania w zakresie hematologii doświadczalnej, staż naukowy z hematologii klinicznej oraz konferencja naukowa o zasięgu międzynarodowym. W stosunku do poprzednich projektów przeprowadzonych w latach 2006-2007 oraz 2010-2011 rozszerzono i unowocześniono tematykę szkoleń, co wynika przede wszystkim z rozwoju diagnostyki hematologicznej, zwłaszcza tej dotyczącej najważniejszych chorób układu krwiotwórczego - białaczek i chłoniaków. Ponadto w ciągu ostatnich lat oba Zakłady rozbudowały swoją bazę aparaturową, co przekłada się na możliwość, ale i konieczność nowych szkoleń. Planowana jest kontynuacja badania w dziedzinie hematologii doświadczalnej rozpoczętego w ramach naszego pierwszego wspólnego projektu. Dotyczą one przeszczepiania krwiotwórczych komórek macierzystych szpiku kostnego w modelu mysim. Bardzo cenną innowacją projektu jest poszerzenie współpracy transgranicznej o aspekt kliniczny, poprzez organizację stażu klinicznego dotyczącego przeszczepiania krwiotwórczych komórek macierzystych u pacjentów w Centrum Transplantacyjnym powiązanym z Kliniką Hematologii i Onkologii Doświadczalnej. Bliskość obu ośrodków medycznych Szczecina i Greifswaldu, brak hematologicznego ośrodka przeszczepowego w PUM w Szczecinie, a także wieloletnie doświadczenie partnera niemieckiego w tym zakresie daje szansę na intensyfikację współpracy transgranicznej nie tylko w obrębie hematologii i onkologii doświadczalnej, ale i klinicznej. Sprzyja to powstaniu podobnego ośrodka przeszczepowego po polskiej stronie granicy, co wiąże się z potencjalną ogromną szansą dla pacjentów Euroregionu Pomerania na polepszenie terapii chorób układu krwiotwórczego, zwłaszcza chorób nowotworowych. Zwieńczeniem współpracy będzie konferencja naukowa, będąca okazją do wymiany wiedzy teoretycznej i doświadczeń klinicznych w dziedzinie hematologii i hematoonkologii po obu stronach granicy. Konsekwencją wspólnych działań będzie rozwój zasobów ludzkich przez podniesienie kwalifikacji pracowników naukowych i studentów obu Uczelni. Intensyfikacja współpracy transgranicznej w związku z wymianą wiedzy i zdobyciem nowych umiejętności wpłynie na poszerzenie panelu badań naukowych w dziedzinie hematologii doświadczalnej wykonywanych po obu stronach granicy. W perspektywie badania oraz przeprowadzone szkolenia w tej dziedzinie przyczynią się do poprawy diagnostyki hematologicznej. Rozszerzenie współpracy pomiędzy ośrodkami na obszary hematologii klinicznej, może wpłynąć w przyszłości również na działalność leczniczą w Euroregionie Pomerania, w tym rozwój ośrodka przeszczepiania krwiotwórczych komórek macierzystych.

The abbot of Allg. Pathology of the Pomeranian Med. University (AAP PMU) has been working with the Department of Molecular Hematology and Oncology of the University of Greifswald (AMHuO UG) for years. Das Projektergebnis ist die weitere Intensivierung der Zusammenarbeit der medizinischen Einrichtungen. Das Projekt führt zur Wissensstandserweiterung in Bezug auf wissenschaftliche Forschung, diagnostische und therapeutische Möglichkeiten beiderseits der Grenze. Gemeinsam im Projektrahmen durchgeführte Maßnahmen sind wirkungsvoller als voneinander unabhängig durchgeführte Maßnahmen auf beiden Seiten der Grenze. Die Veranstaltung gemeinsamer Schulungen und einer wissenschaftlichen Konferenz ermöglicht uns eine schnellere Reaktion auf Veränderungen in Bezug auf Diagnose- und Behandlungsmöglichkeiten in der Hämatologie, was für Patienten beiderseits der Grenze von größter Bedeutung ist. Infolge der Projektdurchführung erwarten wir die Initiierung weiterer gemeinsamer Forschungsarbeit, die Verbesserung der hämatologischen Diagnostik, hierbei insbesondere in Bezug auf Erkrankungen des hämatopoetischen Systems, sowie die Entstehung neuer Behandlungsmöglichkeiten.

Rezultatem projektu jest dalsza intensyfikacja współpracy ośrodków medycznych. Projekt skutkuje poszerzeniem wiedzy na temat badań naukowych, możliwości diagnostycznych i leczniczych po obu stronach granicy. Wspólne działania w ramach projektu są bardziej efektywne niż osobne działania po obu stronach granicy. Organizacja wspólnych szkoleń i konferencji naukowej umożliwi szybszą reakcję na zmianę wytycznych dotyczących metod diagnostycznych i leczniczych w hematologii, co jest kluczowe dla pacjentów po obu stronach granicy. W konsekwencji przeprowadzenia projektu spodziewamy się zainicjowania kolejnych wspólnych badań naukowych, polepszenia diagnostyki hematologicznej, w tym przede wszystkim chorób nowotworowych układu krwiotwórczego oraz powstania nowych możliwości leczniczych.
