Thematic focus: Based on identified by PPs common and individual needs, challenges, unique features, the project will apply a transnational approach leading to enhanced efficiency of SGs by improved technologies and intensified customer involvement. Contribution to the fulfilment of EUSDR PA 2 and to SMF projects topic, SGs: Power System Automation, and to the: - selected topic and Cooperation programme goals for improved transnational information sharing and know-how exchange for regional energy planning to achieve reduction of emissions in the EU and household energy consumption, promotion of smart and sustainable solutions for energy storage, management, distribution. consumption, and smart metering, achieving proper balance between centralized and decentralized energy systems, and - EUSDR targets and actions for helping to achieve national targets based on the Europe 2030 climate and energy targets, removing existing bottlenecks in energy to fulfil the goals of the EU within the Danube Region, better interconnecting regions by joint activities with relevant initiatives and institutions. It directly contributes to EUSDR challenges in energy and specifically to price reduction, increased competition, decreased dependence on external suppliers, improved energy efficiency (EE), including energy saving, modernizing energy networks, exchange of experience for SGs and smart cities, achievement of national targets based on Europe 2020 ones. Reduction of emissions and introduction of environmentally conscious energy consumption, incl. increased EE will be achieved by: Practical promotion of smart systems, affordable to end-users. Facilitating partnerships establishment and regulation. Side contributions to PA8 by increasing the SMEs involvement in realignment of cities through participation in the project platform.
