Description (EN):

The project aims to improve the access of vulnerable groups to social services in the program area and to create the cross-border cooperation among the beneficiaries in Druskininkai and Grodno for the development of new and improvement of existing social services. The implemented project will help the project partners to solve the problems related to the elderly, people with disabilities and their families, reduce social exclusion and improve infrastructure for social services. The Partners of the Project are: Administration of Druskininkai Municipality, Druskininkai municipality social services center and the Lenin district of Grodno city social service center. By implementing the Project the following results will be achieved: prepared Druskininkai Municipality and Grodno region social services strategy of development for the year 2018-2023; organized two conferences. The introductory conference in Druskininkai will present the current situation of social services in Druskininkai and in Grodno, as well as compare the provided services. The final conference will be held in Grodno. The aim of the final conference Grodno is to summarize the achieved project results and discuss future cooperation among the project partners; organized training seminars to improve qualification of social workers, physical therapy-ergo therapy specialists from Druskininkai and Grodno in order to provide better services for the disabled, the elderly and the people in need of social services;- created the necessary infrastructure for Druskininkai day centre in order to provide quality social services for the elderly, the disabled and persons in need of social services; the disabled day center in Grodno city will be equipped by the equipment for physical therapy-ergo therapy and by the specialized car to serve the needs of the persons with disabilities, the elderly and people in need of social services.
