Description (EN):

"From family to society" is a cross-border cooperation project which involves two non-governmental organisations from Narva and Pskov Regional Family Centre. The project is organized in social field in order to contribute to the human development, increasing region potential, prosperity and social cohesion. The main pillars of the project are cooperation and empowerment. The aim of the project is to activate, empower and support families at risk at the local level to expand their positive impact on the local society and engage them in lifelong learning process. To achieve the aim we set following objectives: - Foster and encourage partnership and cooperation between Eastonian and Russian families through providing space and opportunities for it; - Implement learning programmes for families and social workers; - Provide social support and accompaniment for families and exchange good practices and experience in methodology of it; - Intergenerational learning inside and between families; - Activate and empower families through organising and implementation of joint Estonian-Russian CBC micro-initiatives; - Contribute and enсourage sustainable partnership and cooperation between Estonian and Russian organisations and establishments. Target group of the project is at least 10 families from Estonia (about 40 participants), 10 families from Russia (40 participants), social workers ( at least 90 participants of seminar for social workers and conferences). Innovations in the project: using and developing methodology of the support and accompainying families, combining social work and non-formal education in order to have a stronger impact on the participants and foster transformative process and empowerment, delivering learning and supportive programmes for families (including different generations), providing space and opportunities for intergenerational learning; developing and implementing CBC micro-initiatives by participants. Expected outcomes: - improved cooperation between Estonian and Russian communities - at least 80 participants (family members) developed key-competences such as learning to learn, social and civic competence, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, cultural awareness and expression, etc. - at least 90 participants (social workers) increased professional capacities and learned and/or exchanged good practices in methodology of social support and accompaing of families; - families developed at least 6 CBC micro-initiatives. Changes and effects: - Increasing the availability of social services for families through developing methodology, exchange good practices and training of social workers; - Increasing the availability of education among families at risk through familiarization with non-formal education and distance learning as part of it; - Improving cooperation between Estonian and Russian communities through People to People approach; - Encouraging local communities for activism and developing joint initiatives through organizing and implementation CBC micro-initiatives; - Creation of prerequisites for further development, cooperation, entrepreneurship, etc. We expect to have long term effect and to work with families all 24 month and also will try to involve them to other activities after project ends. Long-term involved of families will be provided till families considered as families at risk and not able to solve onw problems and challanges by themselves. This kind of involved is possible as NGO "Lapsele oma kodu" and Pskov regional family centre provide daily activities and support for fammilies as main activities of organisations and the project "From family to society" gives more opportunites for that.

Expected Results (EN): Accessibility of cross border social, health and sporting services, and vocational and language training

Expected Outputs (EN):

Expected outcomes: - improved cooperation between Estonian and Russian communities; - at least 80 participants (family members), what is 20 families developed key-competences such as learning to learn, social and civic competence, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, cultural awareness and expression, etc. - at least 30 participants (social workers) increased professional capacities and learned and/or exchanged good practices in methodology of social support and accompaniment of families; - families developed at least 6 CBC micro-initiatives. Changes and effects: - Increased the availability of social services for families through developing methodology, exchange good practices and training of social workers; - Increased of the availability of education among families in risk through familiarization with non-formal education and distance learning as part of it; - Improved cooperation between Estonian and Russian communities through People to People approach; - Encouraged local communities for activism and developing joint initiatives through organising and implementation of CBC micro-initiatives; - Created prerequisites for further development, cooperation, entrepreneurship, etc. The project provides sustainable long-term effects through developing sustainable partnership, people-to-people contacts, empowerment and activating participants with expecting multiplicative effects and developing and exchange good practices in methodology of social support and accompaniment, that can be used by social workers after the project and will have impact to the next generations of families with whom social workers will work.
