Description (EN):

Objective of the project "Here we live - here we are jointly acting" is to decrease social and cultural exclusion and increase the quality of life of inhabitants of rural areas of Sejny and Meteliai, through enhancement and promotion of healthy and active ageing, promotion of traditional and local crafts, creation of new cultural and social cooperation links not only between inhabitants of rural areas but also between NGOs, acting for well being of their communities. Within project implementation period 18 different actions for older people at risk of poverty and social exclusion as well as members of their families living in Meteliai and Sejny areas will be organised, it is expected that more that 700 participants will take part in them. Among the planned actions 10n will be joint events in which almost 650 participants both from Lithuania and Poland will take part. Both beneficiaries believe that by combining forces, experience and positive attitude of local communities of the LT-PL borderline area and with the help of EU support, it will be possible to do much more and achieve much bigger social effect, which will bring invaluable added value for both communities and their surroundings. Project will be implemented by two NGOs - Rural community of Meteliai "Between Dusia and Metelys" ("Tarp Dusios ir Metelio") and Pontiff A. Baranauskas foundation “Lithuanian House” in Sejny. Both NGOs are actively working for the benefit of their communities.

Celem projektu „Tu mieszkamy – tu wspólnie działamy“ jest zapobieganie nierówności społecznej i kulturalnej oraz podniesienie jakości życia mieszkańców wiejskich okolic Sejn i Meteliai. Praca w tym celu będzie polegała na popularyzacji zdrowego i aktywnego starzenia się społeczeństwa, kultywowaniu tradycyjnego rzemiosła regionalnego, nawiązywaniu kontaktów społeczno – kulturalnych nie tylko wśród mieszkańców wsi, ale także między NGO, które aktywnie działają na rzecz lokalnych społeczności. Podczas trwania projektu będzie zrealizowanych 18 różnych działań projektowych, skierowanych do gorzej sytuowanych, doświadczających nierówności społecznej starszych mieszkańców okolic Sejn i Meteliai oraz ich rodzin. Zakłada się, że udział we wspomnianych działaniach weźmie ponad 700 osób. Aż 10 spośród 18 zaplanowanych działań to wspólne przedsięwzięcia, w których udział weźmie około 650 uczestników z Litwy i Polski. Beneficjenci projektu wierzą, że jednocząc siły, doświadczenie i pozytywne nastawienie społeczności, przy wsparciu UE można zdziałać więcej, osiągnąć większy społeczny wydźwięk oraz generować wartość dodaną dla wiejskich społeczności objętych projektem. Projekt wdrożą dwie organizacje pozarządowe: Wspólnota wsi Meteliai „Między Dusią i Metelis” oraz Fundacja im. b-pa Antanasa Baranauskasa „Dom Litewski” w Sejnach, które aktywnie działają na rzecz lokalnych społeczności.

Projekto "Čia gyvename - čia bendrai veikiame" tikslas yra sumažinti socialinę ir kultūrinę atskirtį ir pagerinti kaimiškų Seinų ir Metelių apylinkių gyventojų gyvenimo kokybę. To bus siekiama per sveiko ir aktyvaus senėjimo skatinimą ir populiarinimą, per tradicinių ir vietos amatų išsaugojimą ir populiarinimą, naujų kultūrinių ir socialinių ryšių kūrimą ne tik tarp kaimiškų vietovių gyventojų, bet ir tarp NVO, kurios aktyviai dirba savo bendruomenių labui. Projekto įgyvendinimo metu iš viso bus įgyvendinta 18 skirtingų veiklų, skirtų mažiau pasiturintiems ir socialinę atskirtį patiriantiems vyresnio amžiaus žmonėms bei jų šeimų nariams iš Metelių ir Seinų apylinkių, tikimasi, jog šiose veiklose dalyvaus daugiau kaip 700 dalyvių. Tarp šių planuotų veiklų net 10 bus bendri renginiai, kuriuose dalyvaus beveik 650 dalyvių iš Lietuvos ir Lenkijos. Abu paramos gavėjai tiki, jog bendrai apjungus pajėgas, patirtį ir teigiamą vietinių bendruomenių nusiteikimą, bei su ES paramos dėka, galima padaryti daug daugiau ir pasiekti daug didesnį socialinį efektą, kuris turės neįkainojamą pridėtinę vertę abiem bendruomenėms ir jų apylinkėms. Projektą įgyvendins dvi nevyriausybinės organizacijos - Metelių kaimo bendruomenė "Tarp Dusios ir Metelio" ir Vysk. Antano Baranausko fondas „Lietuvių namai“ Seinuose. Abi NVO aktyviai veikia savo bendruomenių labui.

Achievements (EN):

Joint sport events for inhabitants of rural areas in LT and PL, facing social exclusion organized. Joint cultural exchange events in Meteliai and Sejny, two theatre performances prepared, events aimed at preservation and promotion of traditional and local crafts, Educational activities aiming at improving living environment were organized. Improvement of social infrastructure - small investments in premises was made and equipment purchased.
