Description (EN):

In preparation of the project the Partners have identified the following common challenges: - the poor condition of road infrastructure, - difficult access to valuable tourist places of historical value, - long travel time, - increased emissions of fumes into the environment. The Partners are going to solve the above problems fulfilling the main goal of the project: improving transport accessibility of the cross-border regions, through the modernisation of the local roads. As a result, it will improve the spatial accessibility of the cross-border areas, and the economic attractiveness of these areas will increase, as well as the attractiveness to tourism. The main products of the project will be modernised roads with a total length of 23.613 km (15.983 in Ukraine and 7.63 in Poland). This value will consist of several sections: - rebuilding of the Municipal road Kowiesy - Ruciany - Bielany Jarosławy- section Kowiesy - Ruciany road no. 390124Wfrom km 0 + 000 to km 2 + 000; section Bielany Jarosławy – Ruciany- road no. 390106W- from km 0 + 000 to km 2 + 590. - rebuilding of the Municipal road Wojewódki Dolne - Wojewódki Górne- road No. 390107W- from km 0 + 000 to km 1 + 620. - rebuilding of the Municipal road in Wojewódki Górne- road No. 390113W (part of the section has no number) - from km 0 + 000 to km 0 + 860. - rebuilding of the internal road in the village of Bielany Jarosławy- The road does not have a number yet, after the implementation of the investment will be given the category of commune road and No. - from km 0 + 000 to km 0 + 560. - rebuilding of the road O 031169 Sobyschytsi - Kolodiy - Vovchysk - / M-07 / - Komarove - Roznychi - / P-14 (on the section from the village Kostiukhnivka to the M-07 road)- from km 8 + 700 to km 9 + 200 and from km 9 + 700 to km 26 + 000.

Expected Results (EN): Decrease of travel/transportation time in the regions (baseline value - 35; target value - 17)

Expected Outputs (EN):

Number of awareness-raising campaigns concerning the low-carbon transportation - 1. Number of districts benefitting from modernized/created transport services and infrastructure - 2. Number of partnerships established in order to modernize/create the environmentally friendly transport systems or services - 1. Total length of reconstructed or upgraded roads (ENI/CBC 27) - 23,61.
