Description (EN):

The project is capitalizing the Tourmedassets project knowledge-based tools, and is aimed at identifying new tourism scenarios and to increase participants’ skills and knowledge having multiplier effect on the tourism sector. By the means of BLUTOURSYSTEM platform setting up will be provided the advanced services and market intelligence to help decisional process, policies making and investments, while the living lab intends to act as a cross-border open space for networking, peers learning and training.

Achievements (EN):

The project improved the frame conditions for a Blue Tourism sustainable growth by stimulating eco-innovation, competitiveness and diversification of the Cross Border tourism offer and by promoting a Business Ecosystems approach in tourism. To reach these goals, the project developed a new Cross Border community and improved the capacity building process and human resources skills. The most distinctive project output is the establishment of the Blutoursystem Platform, a long-term open space for the design and g growth of innovative ideas for tourism in the Blue Economy, comprised of Living Labs and the Advice Blu Point web platform for stakeholders. The Advice Blu Point panel includes different types of experts and researchers able to provide advanced support to policymakers and private economic actors. This knowledge-based system represents a market intelligence tool useful for innovation and investments decisions. The Advice Blu Point provides stakeholders and SMEs in finding valuable advices for eco-innovation, for creative tourism development and for investments based on territorial assets and human capitals enhancement. ex. business plan competitions and coopetition, business angels, new ventures, mentoring.

Expected Results (EN):

In a mainstream prospect, the project fosters the exchange of best practices among stakeholders and within the CB tourism ecosystem, while encourages joint collaboration between participants to efficiently tackle the territorial challenges and contribute to the development of CB BLUE tourism. A platform is established leveraging on the five key elements necessary for a sound open innovation process: knowledge networking; collaboration amid the research, the governmental, the industrial and the civic organizations; entrepreneurship; intellectual property management; research development. The BLUTOURSYSTEM platform is based on quadruple helix model and involves first partners (research, education, public authorities and local development organizations) then stakeholders, SMEs and tourists themselves. The Network founded during the project is maintained operative after the end, and will be implemented for the direct benefits of the targets in the CB area. For this purpose we will: - make BLUTOURSYSTEM an inclusive community and an open platform where knowledge generators, policy makers and practitioners proactively participate to sharing, interacting and accessing relevant resources, - make the platform able to issue advanced services, fundamental to mainstream the BLUTOURSYSTEM perspective.

Expected Outputs (EN): - Cooperation Agreement establishing a CB governance pattern for Blue tourism innovation. - Smart Cross Border Data System to support blue tourism development. - Quadruple Helix Database of stakeholders. - Advice Blue Points. - Cross Border Living Lab.
