Description (EN):

TRANSPOGOOD project is capitalizing the main results of the INTERMODADRIA project and will develop set of innovative ICT tools that will assist users in finding the best solution of transport services offer and ensure monitoring transport logistics and environmental performances demonstrating concrete benefits in transport and logistics implementations. The project aims at improving the knowledge in the transport and logistics sector by organizing the training modules and jointly define a set of outputs to improve the market, policy and regulatory conditions for intermodality.

Achievements (EN):

There are multiple barriers impeding efficient intermodal and multimodal transport in the Adriatic area. The project tackled the issue of logistic barriers by recognizing that limited sharing of information on the transport of goods in Italy and Croatia has a negative impact on logistic efficiency and consequently on the modal share of intermodality which contributes to the carbon footprint reduction. Main achievement of the project is represented by the development of the innovative TRANSPOGOOD platform which is free of charge to all users and enables key logistics stakeholders: shippers, logistic services providers, transport operators, development agencies and authorities to find the best solutions in terms of transport service offers, best prices of the combined transport, decrease the emissions of the entire chain, e-procurement tools for maritime transport services and higher load factor in both directions. This tool resulted in improvement of efficiency, costs reduction and the possibility of booking transport services online. Platform favorizes intermodal routes by highlighting their lower carbon footprint results and enables stakeholders to contributes to CO2 emission reduction by using a maritime transport mode. The activities of the project have focused on the human and technological assets that make the difference for the future of a sustainable value chain in the intermodality. The project’s success was proven by a large number of stakeholders reached through various events organized by project partner. Thanks to the TRANSPOGOOD platform, stakeholders now have the possibility to enhance their cross-border transportation planning, to reduce their costs and to contribute to environmental sustainability.
