Description (FR): "Ce projet fait partie du plan ALPIMED": ALPIMED PATRIM se propose de faire émerger la destination touristique des Alpes de la Méditerranée en misant sur ses atouts patrimoniaux et sa situation géographique entre mer et montagne. Le projet permettra de faire connaître et de commercialiser la destination afin de renforcer sa notoriété à l'échelle européenne et d'augmenter les flux écotouristiques sur le territoire. Il permettra également de diversifier l'offre en impliquant, de façon innovante les structures publiques, les opérateurs touristiques locaux, les habitants et les professionnels du voyage, à travers la création de produits écotouristiques, autour de l'itinérance, le cyclotourisme, les parcours naturel, culturel et historique. Enfin les partenaires souhaitent travailler en faveur de l'amélioration qualitativement de l'offre existante.
Ce PITER souhaite co-construire des modèles d’intervention sur son territoire afin de faciliter l’émergence d’un schéma de développement à l’échelle transfrontalière. Le Plan souhaite identifier les leviers et les conditions favorables au développement économique local des territoires périphériques de montagne et ruraux, tout en valorisant les atouts du territoire et les échanges. Il agira sur les leviers suivants : meilleure gestion des ressources naturelles et attention au changement climatique ; valorisation du patrimoine naturel au travers de l’éco-tourisme ; maintien de la mobilité transfrontalière et utilisation de l’innovation et accès aux technologies de l’information pour renforcer le tissu économique local.
Read more Description (IT): "Questo progetto fa parte dell'piano ALPIMED": Il progetto ALPIMED INNOV mira a rafforzare l’innovazione nell’economia di montagna e accompagnare il suo sviluppo, fare del territorio un ecosistema di innovazione applicata. I risultati attesi devono produrre un miglioramento della situazione attuare del sistema imprenditoriale grazie alla collaborazione con gli attori della ricerca (6 centri di ricerca coinvolti e 50 soluzioni innovativi introdotte nelle imprese), ala creazione di nuove imprese (5 nuove imprese), alla creazione di rete e strutture di cooperazione (3 rete).
Questo PITER vuole co-costruire dei modelli di intervento sul suo territorio per facilitare l’emergenza di un schema di sviluppo a livello transfrontaliero. Il Piano vuole identificare le leve e le condizioni favorevole allo sviluppo economico locale del territorio periferico di montagna e rurale, promuovendo nello stesso momento gli vantaggi del territorio e gli scambi. Il Piano agirà sulle leve seguente: migliora gestione delle risorse naturale e attenzione portata al cambiamento climatico, valorizzazione del patrimonio naturale attraverso l’eco-turismo, mantenimento della mobilità transfrontaliera e l’uso dell’innovazione tecnologica e accesso alle tecnologie dell’informazione per rinforzare il tessuto economico locale.

Expected results would product a bettering of the entrepreneurship system’s current situation thanks to a collaboration with actors of the research (6 centres of applicated research and 50 innovative solutions introduced within industries), to the creation of new industries (5 new industries), to the creation of a newtwork and cooperation structures (3 networks).
This PITER wants to co-build models of intervention on its territory in order to facilitate the emergence of a development schema at cross-border scale. The Plan wants to identify leviers and favourable conditions to local economic development of peripheric territories of mountain and rural, promoting in the same time territory advantages and exchanges. Although the symbols of resilience, all affected by the storm Alex in October 2020, are numerous, there is one that gains its full significance during this period of reconstruction.
What if our waste became our raw material? Nothing new, one could say, because it is the real principle of recycling, which consists of reintroducing a material that has no benefit back into the production cycle of a product.
If we advance thinking a little further, we can speak of a circular economy, a new model in which the concept of waste itself is abolished.
Well, it is this economic model based on the fundamental pillars of limiting consumption, waste of raw materials and non-renewable energy sources, which the Cuneo Chamber of Commerce has just implemented with the help of public and private partners. The idea is to reuse the materials worn by Storm Alex for the reconstruction of roads and other landscape elements.
In the valleys of Gesso and Vermenagna, which are particularly affected by floods, this project is taking shape. “It is a fundamental initiative both in the context of the circular economy and as a virtuous innovation process,” said Mauro Gola, President of the Cuneo Chamber of Commerce.
At an altitude of 2000 meters, near the Piastra dam, at the gates of the village of Entracque, the first work took place in collaboration with Enel Green Power Italia, which very quickly joined the project and understood everything. “The largest hydroelectric power plant in Italy was also affected by the floods in October 2020 and it was normal for us to participate in this process,” says Andréa Bertino, Water Management Manager for the Northwest Region at Enel Green. Power Italia.
Mountain roads, hiking trails and even a picnic area in Alpi Marittime Park are the most important achievements of this project. “We had to be innovative and act quickly to restore an area and a landscape with a strong tourist vocation,” said Andréa Bertino and all project partners.
This approach must serve as a model and driving force for other similar initiatives that ensure the reuse and sustainable upgrading of materials in our area.
