"This project is part of the plan BIODIVALP": The project focuses on the valorisation of biodiversity and habitats as factor of the development of territories. The project provides training activities for the operators responsible of the protection of biodiversity and actions of valorisation of the ecosystem services. The Western Alps Massif is the biogeographic and transboundary link of the ALCOTRA program. It rubs shoulders with both the summits and the Mediterranean basin forming a hotspot of biodiversity. Nevertheless, this exceptional natural heritage is vulnerable to the erosion of biodiversity and to global changes (fragmentation of environments, climate change, etc.). Based on this observation, a consultation process between the 5 Regions and the territorial actors has made it possible to draw up a framework ambition aimed at protecting and enhancing biodiversity and Alpine ecosystems through a partnership and a network of cross-border ecological connectivities. This ambition is articulated in two strategic objectives, contributing to the EUSALP strategy and the Alpine Convention, and aiming to (i) stem the erosion of ecosystems and protected species and (ii) enhance the attractiveness of the cross-border territory. The originality of the activities concerns the cross-border structuring of an integrated governance, the knowledge and the methodologies of management of biodiversity reservoirs, a public policy of ecological connectivities and a strategy of valorization of the biodiversity. In addition, the activities provide for the capitalization of various European projects (see point 5). The French and Italian partners of the plan include protected areas, communities, associations and chambers of commerce.

"Ce projet fait partie du plan BIODIVALP":Le projet porte sur la valorisation de la biodiversité et des habitats en tant que facteurs de développement des territoires. Le projet offre une formation aux opérateurs de la protection de la biodiversité et des services écosystémiques. Le Massif des Alpes Occidentales constitue le trait d’union biogéographique et transfrontalier du programme ALCOTRA. Il côtoie aussi bien les sommets que le bassin méditerranéen formant ainsi un hotspot de biodiversité. Néanmoins, ce patrimoine naturel exceptionnel est vulnérable face à l’érosion de la biodiversité et aux changements globaux (fragmentation des milieux, changements climatiques, etc.). Sur la base de ce constat, un processus de concertation entre les 5 Régions et les acteurs territoriaux a permis de dégager une ambition cadre visant à protéger et valoriser la biodiversité et les écosystèmes alpins par un partenariat et un réseau de connectivités écologiques transfrontaliers. Cette ambition s’articule en deux objectifs stratégiques, contribuant à la stratégie EUSALP et à la Convention Alpine, et visant à (i) endiguer l’érosion des écosystèmes et des espèces protégées et (ii) à renforcer l’attractivité du territoire transfrontalier. L’originalité des activités porte sur la structuration transfrontalière d’une gouvernance intégrée, de la connaissance et des méthodologies de gestion des réservoirs de biodiversité, d’une politique publique de connectivités écologiques et d’une stratégie de valorisation de la biodiversité. De plus, les activités prévoient la capitalisation de différents projets européens (cf.point 5). Les partenaires français et italiens du plan regroupent des espaces protégés, des collectivités, des associations et des chambres de commerce.

"Questo progetto fa parte dell'piano BIODIVALP": Il progetto è incentrato sulla valorizzazione della biodiversità e degli habitat come elemento di sviluppo dei territori. Il progetto prevede delle azioni di formazione degli attori responsabili della tutela della biodiversità e delle azioni di valorizzazione dei servizi ecosistemici. Il massiccio delle Alpi occidentali è il collegamento biogeografico e transfrontaliero del programma ALCOTRA. Sfrega con le vette e il bacino del Mediterraneo formando un punto caldo della biodiversità. Tuttavia, questo eccezionale patrimonio naturale è vulnerabile all'erosione della biodiversità e ai cambiamenti globali (frammentazione degli ambienti, cambiamenti climatici, ecc.). Sulla base di questa osservazione, un processo di consultazione tra le 5 regioni e gli attori territoriali ha permesso di elaborare un'ambizione quadro volta a proteggere e migliorare la biodiversità e gli ecosistemi alpini attraverso un partenariato e una rete di connettività ecologiche transfrontaliere. Questa ambizione si articola in due obiettivi strategici, che contribuiscono alla strategia EUSALP e alla Convenzione delle Alpi e mirano a (i) arginare l'erosione degli ecosistemi e delle specie protette e (ii) migliorare l'attrattiva del territorio transfrontaliero. L'originalità delle attività riguarda la strutturazione transnazionale di una governance integrata, la conoscenza e le metodologie di gestione dei bacini idrici della biodiversità, una politica pubblica di connettività ecologica e una strategia di valorizzazione della biodiversità. Inoltre, le attività prevedono la capitalizzazione di vari progetti europei (cfr. Punto 5). I partner francesi e italiani del piano comprendono aree protette, comunità, associazioni e camere di commercio.
