Interreg Med promotes horizontal projects, which main objective is to ensure the communication/capitalisation activities of modular projects in order to increase their impacts towards common identified targets and “increase the transnational activity of innovative clusters and networks of key sectors of the MED area" (S.O.. With a specific focus on non-financial support to SMEs, BG therefore proposes concrete activities to enhance the capitalization nature of this second phase, going beyond the reinforcement of the cross-cutting and integrated approach between modular projects and transnational key stakeholders. BG enhances the dissemination and transferability of modular projects results to ensure stronger, wider and deeper capitalization, mainstreaming and strategic liaising processes aimed at external multilevel stakeholders, allowing a better take-on of technical modular projects results into policy-making at a multi-level governance scale, and benefitting the further development of the blue economy and entrepreuneurship notably for SMEs. These actions also keep contributing to the sustainable socio-economic development of the Med area through innovative investments in the Blue economy, while ensuring a close communication and coordination with PANORAMED as with key on-going Mediterranean strategies and initiatives (WestMed, BLUEMED...). The results will reach not only the projects and programmes scales, but also beyond, at the Member States & Mediterranean levels.

Achievements (EN):

During this 1st period, all partners were committed for the set up & implementation of activities of all WPs. As for the WP1, the LP and all partners cared the administrative issues for the start up of the project . The kick-off meeting (Marseille, December 2019) has been organized for the set up of the SC and the approval of the SC rules, later on another SC meeting (Montpellier, February 2020) has taken place and many periodical coordination meetings (Skype or on-site) for ensuring the project smooth internal coordination. As for the other WPs, in general, in this first period a special attention was given to the action plans & strategies' elaboration for the effective implementation of the project.As regards WP2, special attention has been dedicated to the elaboration and discussion of all strategies linked to Communication. Communication activities such as the production of press releases and their publications, of templates, pictures, the production of the first video, the use of social media project accounts, have been implemented by the CM with the collaboration of all partners. As for WP3, a special attention has been dedicated to the elaboration of the Community building strategy and to the creation of the Knowledge Sharing open platform (marina-platform). Very important for the start-up of the project has been the organization of the 1st Annual Assembly event (Montpellier, February 2020), by changing the planned place (from Rome to Montpellier) for favoring the combination of the event with the political bureau of CPMR and increasing the chance to engage more regions in the community. As for the extra community activities, the BG project has promoted and/or participated to several initiatives with other HPs, Panoramed and JS, including the MED coordination mechanism meetings (in Madrid in February 2020 & online) and many other online meetings. The active participation (with live presentations) in Intra-thematic community building group activities (Task 3. 2.2) in the occasion of the kick-off meetings of the MPs and SP has been guaranteed by the partnership. As for WP4 the partners cared the elaboration of the Interaction Plan and the setup of the Advisory Board.As for WP5, the partners have cared the elaboration of Mainstreaming guidelines and Strategic liaising plan.
