Description (EN):

Main project objective is to diversify and integrate the cross-border tourism offer of active and cultural tourism through joint destination management platform and DMO business model. It will build on existing offer, respecting resources and potentials of the target areas, add new contents, improve the quality of tourist services and align them with the new trends and market demands. Joint challenges: a) Lack of cooperation among tourist service providers. b) Insufficient integrated thematic tourism products. c) Lack of DMO understanding market trends and creating contemporary tourism packages. d) Lack of clear targeting and on-line marketing. e) Poor infrastructure and low level of special beautification. New solutions: - Integration of various specialized tourism products to multiple days packages, utilizing existing infrastructure, services, organizations. - Creation of the on-line travel agency grounded on CB platform of tourist service providers and other support organizations. Main project outputs to be created: 1. An integrated CB map of wellbeing, active and cultural tourism offer. 2. Market positioning plan for Panona tours. 3. 9 New integrated tourism products. 4. 9 specialized tourism events organized. 5. Specialized destination management travel agency established. 6. CB destination management platform. Main target groups: 40 tourist service providers + 20 cultural, hiking clubs and CSOs getting new markets. 20 tourist associations, clusters + 20 local authorities participating in joint CB platform, getting new products and services. This CB partnership was created to secure partners with know-how and capacities to develop an integrated CB tourism offer and CB destination management model.

Panona Net promotional videos are on YouTube!: One of the activities of the project Panona net – destination management model, co-funded through the Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia-Serbia 2014-2020 was creating promotional thematic videos. The aim of videos is to promote cross-border destination and specific special tourism locations, events and attractions within the project area. Videos are available at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDG9oHlDbwDapi3gHuRxYuw and each of them tells its unique story under the recognizable names: Nature speaks with scents – „Čudesna šuma“. Discover farm „Čudesna šuma“ located in Bilje. „Čudesna šuma“ works on ecological food production according to the principles of biodynamics and natural agriculture. Nature speaks with sounds – Nature park Papuk, Nature park Kopački rit. Papuk Nature Park is an undiscovered green island of the Pannonian Sea. A favorite destination for hikers and nature lovers. Nature speaks with colors – VukovArt. The magic of colors in the city of Vukovar. VukovArt is an event that brings together street art artists from all over the world every year. Nature speaks about people – Asztalos keramika. Nature tells stories about people. Meet the secret ASZTALOS ceramics workshops. Nature speaks with movements – Papuk Land Art, Slama Land Art, Vinatlon and Panona fest Take a look at the Panona fest, which explores the ecotourism capacities of Slavonia – by canoe, bicycle, or on foot! Vukovar becomes “open-air gallery” through Panona net project: The project created 5 new murals in Vukovar by world renowned street art artists. Vukovar now holds a respectable number of 33 public space art works, and through the Panona.net project activities, this unique gallery has been additionally promoted and upgraded. Within this year’s VukovART festival, the project team implemented mapping and forming of two tourist paths; mural route and 3D art route. The mural route is intended for bicycle visitors and spans for 12 kilometers providing a combination of sports, recreation and cultural content. The 3D art route was formed as a walking route and covers the anamorphic art murals drawn on Vukovar walk paths. To make the paths more accessible to tourists, paths were gps tracked and marked with signs containing a QR code with downloadable gps map. By implementing such solutions, the gallery was adapted to the needs of the modern tourists, especially numerous cycle tourists visiting Vukovar while travelling along the Euro velo 6 route. COVID19 epidemic was a serious setback for the festival organizers, but the project team considered new solutions to adapt to the situation – development of a new form of digital tourism through creation of on-line VukovART gallery and VR tour. The finished application contains all 33 artworks shot in 360° view. The gallery is available as a desktop or mobile app and adapted to use with VR glasses on mobile phones. By creating the application both Panona net project and VukovART as its integral part, got additional means of promotion. Expected Results (EN): Number of overnights in the programme area.

Expected Outputs (EN):

PR 1: Improved market position of 40 tourist service providers. Based on mapping small tourist service providers will get an opportunity to actively participate at the CB thematic forums and come up with the joint cooperation platform. Through new joint products and marketing they are becoming more competitive. PR 2: Diversified and integrated cross border tourism offer. New tourism offer will be created through creative tourist camps and based on comprehensive and in depth mapping and market research. Through an integrative approach improvement and beautification of the existing natural sites and establishment of 6 new thematic routes will result in 9 new tourism products, also including 9 international cultural events. PR 3: Sustainable business model established and operational. Innovative concept of CB cluster and cooperation platform linking tourist service providers but also crafts, CSOs, hiking and cycling clubs, cultural CSOs with relevant sales and marketing organizations. Important aspect is a foundation of the travel agency Panona tours specialized in creating and marketing integrated tourism products. It will partner with the Cluster Subotica-Palić travel agent and other Platform members covering the entire CB region. All three expected project results are directly contributing to relevant program indicators: 1. Number of joint tourism products developed and promoted. 2. Number of tourism supporting facilities and infrastructure. 3. Increase in expected number of visitors. Consequently the raise of overnights within the target area by creating new products offering longer stays; integrating various tourism areas (active, cultural, geo, well being, gastro, eco-tourism) and opening new international markets.
