Description (EN):

The AGRO_FEM project aims to enhance the value of women’s agricultural cooperatives belonging to the regions of the Canary Islands and Senegal, as well as promoting the marketing of their agricultural products in new markets. To achieve this, AGRO_FEM proposes to work through three broad lines: 1. Empowerment of women in agricultural enterprises in the Canary Islands and Senegal, based on a Training Program adapted to the situation of each region under which they intend to develop mainly their professional skills and competences. 2. Exchanges of technical and educational experience in order to identify new techniques and good practices that can be extrapolated to both regions; as well as trade exchanges to publicise the agricultural products of each region. 3. Creation of a network of cooperatives and agricultural enterprises in the Canary Islands and Senegal for future continuity that allows a permanent exchange of experience between the two regions.

El proyecto AGRO_FEM tiene como objetivo la puesta en valor de las cooperativas agrícolas femeninas pertenecientes a las regiones de Canarias y Senegal, además del fomento de la comercialización de sus productos agrícolas en nuevos mercados. Para alcanzarlo, AGRO_FEM propone trabajar a través de tres grandes lineas: 1. Empoderamiento de las mujeres de empresas agrarias de Canarias y Senegal, partiendo de un Programa Formativo adaptado a la situación de cada región bajo el cual se pretenden desarrollar principalmente sus habilidades y competencias profesionales. 2. Intercambios de experiencias técnicas y educativas que propicien la detección de nuevas técnicas y buenas prácticas que puedan ser extrapolables a ambas regiones; así como intercambios comerciales para dar a conocer los productos agrícolas de cada región. 3. Creación de una Red de cooperativas y empresas agrarias de Canarias y Senegal para la continuidad futura que permita un intercambio de experiencias permanente entre ambas regiones.
