Description (EN):

The main objective of Red GesFoGO is the cooperation between agencies, institutions and companies with operational and scientific-technological capabilities for the development of a comprehensive network of prevention and management of forest fires in real time, through light mobile units of rapid deployment with self-referred system, to achieve sustainable management in forest environments characteristic of the territory of cooperation. The Red GesFoGO project is articulated in three fundamental actions: — Development of a more robust and precise network that includes several observers and a graphical interface that facilitates its isolated and networked use. — Test and data collection plan that will serve for the training of forest technicians from the Canary Islands, Madeira and Cape Verde and to adapt the system to the needs of the service. — Design of the deployment, prevention, management and maintenance operation of the GesFoGO Network, evaluated in field exercises with all participating partners.

El objetivo principal de Red GesFoGO es la cooperación entre organismos, instituciones y empresas con capacidades operativas y científico-tecnológicas para el desarrollo de una red integral de prevención y gestión de incendios forestales en tiempo real, mediante unidades ligeras móviles de despliegue rápido con sistema auto-georreferenciado, para lograr una gestión sostenible en entornos forestales característicos del territorio de cooperación. El proyecto Red GesFoGO se articula en tres acciones fundamentales: - Desarrollo de una red más robusta y precisa que incluya varios observadores y una interfaz gráfica que facilite su uso aislado y en red. - Plan de pruebas y toma de datos que servirá para la formación de técnicos forestales de Canarias, Madeira y Cabo Verde y para adaptar el sistema a las necesidades del servicio. - Diseño del operativo de despliegue, prevención, gestión y mantenimiento de la Red GesFoGO, evaluado en ejercicios de campo con todos los socios participantes.
