OpenDx28 is born with a double objective. On the one hand, it aims to correct the difficulties of rural communities’ access to diagnostic tests through a strategy in which all public health services in the cooperating territories actively participate.The rapid testing devices produced by pharmaceutical companies are expensive; however, with the implementation of OpenDX28 innovative and local manufacturers will be able to quickly assemble economic testing devices, allowing local communities to perform checks on the most relevant health parameters, and improve their ability to respond to the emergence of new pathogens. As a second objective, public systems will take advantage of the information generated by rapid diagnostic devices to create an analysis platform on the epidemiological situation of the cooperating territories and thus improve efficiency in health surveillance.

OpenDx28 nace con un doble objetivo. Por un lado, pretende corregir las dificultades de acceso de las comunidades rurales a pruebas de diagnóstico a través de una estrategia en la que participan activamente todos los servicios públicos de salud de los territorios cooperantes.Los dispositivos de prueba rápidos producidos por las compañías farmacéuticas son caros; sin embargo, con la implantación de OpenDX28 innovadores y fabricantes locales podrán ensamblar rápidamente dispositivos de prueba económicos, permitiendo a las comunidades locales realizar controles en los parámetros de salud más relevantes, y mejorar su capacidad de respuesta ante la aparición de nuevos patógenos. Como segundo objetivo, los sistemas públicos aprovecharán la información generada por los dispositivos de diagnóstico rápido para crear una plataforma de análisis sobre la situación epidemiológica de los territorios cooperantes y mejorar así la eficiencia en la vigilancia de la salud.
